So, people, I may have found a way around this bundled ticket shite. I spoke to the Yankees group ticketing office this morning. Read on, it’s complicated.
Group tickets are not on sale yet, but they anticipate that happening in a couple of weeks and will call me when they have the date. Here’s the important thing: Group tickets are exempt from the bundle. They haven’t set the prices, but anticipate that they will be similar to the Chelsea/PSG prices. Normally, you need to have 10 people to get group tickets, but they might up it to 20 for this match. They aren’t sure. So a lot is still up in the air right now. The lady I spoke to was awesome (an Arsenal/Barca fan) so she understood our anguish. We exchanged information and will talk again when they have a better idea of what is happening. I asked if individual match (non-group) tickets and was told “eventually” – not exactly uplifting, is it?
So, here’s the question: Is anyone interested in joining HB & HB to get group tickets to the match? In addition to getting out of the bundle and also getting tickets earlier, we could all sit together. I already have 3 people in my group and I know quite a few of you are looking for tickets. I would need to know the following: how many in your group and how much are you willing to pay? Have a look at the Chelsea/PSG prices and the seating chart and let me know. Please get back to me no later than Sunday so that we can see if this will be a go or not. If we can’t get 20 folks, we may just have to take our chances on our own. Oh man, I feel like I’m on Lost now: “Live together. Die alone.” Let’s leverage the power of the collective, y’all. WATISH!

Well at this point, I think this may be a majority rules situation and right now, that’s in the $100 – $150 range so let me know by Sunday if you’re in with the group or just going to go it on your own.

It’s not too late at all. I just needed to know if we could get 20 people so that we could get the group rate. We have over that now, so feel free to let me know how many you need. Ticket prices and on sale date for the match hasn’t been determined yet. Our sales rep will be calling me as soon as they make a decision. I’m going to put a big post up about this today so please keep your eyes peeled as there will be important information. Once we have the date, I’m going to have to act immediately, so I need to set up a distribution list so we can be ready to go a moment’s notice.
