Sorry these are coming at you so late, but here are the lovely pics & gifs & vids from La Roja’s friendly against South Korea! This second friendly was a much better showing than the first, match by match the boys are working better together and most importantly….NANDO SCORED!!! WOOT WOOT! He says he’s got the right stuff..I can see it in his walk, tell it when he talk, can see it in everything he does, even in his thoughts…ok, I don’t know his thoughts but he says he’s in the best form ever and I hope he gets his chance to prove himself. Do it for Sergio, Nando! Ok, onward. To the post.

Pepe Reina got a rare start so it was a very nice surprise to see his big booty filling the goal for a good amount of the match. Bounce on, Pepe. Nando showed his appreciation for his starting position and got to work early, folks. With a cross from Benat, who was responsible for setting up Adrian’s opener against Serbia, Nando brilliantly headed the ball in backwards! Why isn’t Benat coming to the Euros again?…

Loving from Sergio as a reward? Keep up the good work & so will Sergio
With Nando’s goal, he became Spain’s fourth highest goal scorer, with 28 goals, passing Fernando Morientes. WOOT!
Pepe Reina had to hustle a bit, but that’s expected when you’re not a saint, he did stop many a ball though…until the 43rd minute, that is. Right before the half, Do-Heon Kim equalized for his side. It was a shot damn near impossible for anyone to stop, he sent that baby to the top corner & way out of Pepe’s reach.
Mata was close to recovering the lead just a minute later but his shot went right past the goal post and then it was halftime.
Half time evals…
Monreal had two clear goal scoring opportunities during the match, once the goal was wide open & instead of taking the shot passed it to Mata, who was clearly offside. It’s nice to be generous, but it’s nicer to SCORE! Another chance he had was blocked by a handball, so Spain was awarded the penalty…to be taken by XABIIIII!
Then it got a little handball happy, Spain was awarded a free-kick this time after a Korea handball on the edge of the penalty area. Free-kick duty was given to Cazorla…good choice, good choice.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! This goal definitely put a smile on my face, oh how I love Santi! He just knew that wall was going to jump & he sent the ball right under them, the cheeky little man he is.
Lots of change ups came following the 3rd goal, Negredo came in for Nando, Alvaro Dominguez for Sergio, Adrian for Mata, Soldado for Cazorla, Soriano for Xabi, and finally IKER for Pepe Reina.
Bebe got a late start to the game so he didn’t have much to do, but Negredo still had work to be done. He scored the final goal of the night, I love how everyone’s trying to prove their worth! It makes for a lot of sweet goals. Shout out to Soldado for that assist!
Game over!
Ah well, I think it’ll be a goodie tomorrow against China. I feel like I’ve said this a million times already but, THE WHOLE SQUAD IS TOGETHER NOW!!! Vamos La Roja!
