Here We Go Again! Spain vs Ireland!

14 Jun

It’s almost game time and it looks like the Irish & Spanish fans are having a blast already, or as much fun as you can in a morph suit! Has anyone ever tried one of those things on?? I think it would be crazy hot…in more ways than one if you’ve got a super tight body. ;) Let’s hope for a big Spanish win today with lots of goals from, drum roll please, Fernando Torres! Nando makes the starting lineup today, check out the rest of the list.

Spain

Iker Casillas; Arbeloa, Sergio Ramos, Pique, Jordi Alba; Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets; Silva, Xavi, Iniesta; Torres.

I’m very excited to see how well Nando does up front today, if he can pick up from where he left off against Italy things should happen nicely for him. I wish him the best of luck!

Love the mismatched shoes!

Ireland

Given; O’Shea, St. Ledger, Dunne, Ward; Duff, Andrews, Whelan, McGeady; Cox, Keane.

VAMOS ESPANA!!!

VAMOS ESPANA, indeed! I like that Ireland made it through and he fight they have in them, but I’d like for Spain to really mean business in this match and show it. Fingers crossed!

i am half irish and so this match is causing no degree of agita for me — half my family aren’t speaking to me because i’m supporting you-know-who! i’m damned if i do and damned if i don’t, because no matter who wins, it’ll break my heart that the other loses, y’know?

    viva espana! erin go bragh!

I guess Cesc was unhappy about not starting? After he scored, the first thing out of his mouth looked like a raging “P_ta!” or did I read that wrong? Oh well, there really isn’t room for a sense of entitlement when you have the deepest bench in Europe, just ask Llorente. Just so happy Spain won… and how!

I think I spotted the same thing when Cesc scored. I totally agree with you, he scored an important goal but now’s not the time to get his diva on. From what he said in his presser, it sounds like he’s been bitten by the goal bug….I still would like to see Llorente as an option before Cesc! Hopefully he finally gets some minutes on Saturday.

I gotta to say the Irish fans where AMAZING!!! Singing and supporting their team despite such defeat!! not many will do that

I cried at the end of the match (and not because Iker revealed his yellow underarmour). The Irish fans were so magnanimous in defeat, and the team lost the match with honor and dignity. But the fans, serenading their team. You just gotta love the Irish!

The Irish fans were AMAZING! That’s what supporting your team is supposed to be like, win or lose. If its possible, the Fair Play Award should be given to them.

That Silva goal was also amazing! Smart of him to kick the ball between the 2 irish defenders legs. And yeah, he’s just adorable *.*

Btw jelly, the upcoming La Liga season (and the next 2 seasons) on ESPN and/or STAR Sports! woohoo! :))

No kidding? Really! That’s terrific! Thanks for the news, Mari!

Hola chicas! I am in Barcelona right now and watching La Roja in Spain is awesome!

*cover your eyes if you can´t handle Barca gushing* I went to the Camp Nou yesterday and it was amazing! I could not believe the things they let you do! You get to hold the Champion´s League trophy. THE trophy!

Anyway, all of Spain is rooting for Nando to keep smashing them in. It´s a beautiful thing. :)

You didn’t pretend to get all Sergio butterfingers with the trophy? ;) What an experience it must be to hold the actual trophy though, sounds awesome. Enjoy the rest of your time in Barcelona!
