Well, folks, it was another one of those work days and I just finished dinner. At 10 PM. So this is going to be a quick post. Cris & Irina were reunited in NYC and looked pretty darn happy to see each other!

La Roja Ready to Take On Tahiti

Here they come! It’s almost time for La Roja’s second match of the Confeds, I just hope Tahiti provides more thrill than Uruguay did. I’m excited for the match and hoping maybe, just maybe, that Fernando gets some minutes. I want to see Nando play for Mou, so the quicker he is to score some goals, the better.

Benzema/Ribery Trial Postponed AGAIN

“Mon Dieu, Franck – will this trial never end?”

Karim and Franck’s trial has been adjourned until 2014. What is this? Like the third or fourth postponement? This investigation has been going on since 2010. I’m sure they’re just ready to get it over with and find out the verdict. (Well, at least Karim is, according to his lawyer)

La Roja does Rio de Janeiro

After the Uruguay match, Los Pretty Ones made their way to Rio de Janeiro. Sefutbol, who put together La Roja’s arrival video, are certainly on to something….or just on something. They paired the training gear clad hunks, lugging their suitcases through the airport, with some sexay music. Word to the wise, don’t spoil me, I’ll get used to it.

So, if you’re ever wondering what might take pride of place in my fevered imagination, it might be a scenario like this – the Italian National Team cavorting in the waves and playing volleyball on Barra de Tijuca beach yesterday in Brazil. I’m signed up to be an organ donor myself. I like the thought that once I shuffle off this mortal coil, I’ll be able to help someone continue on. You can see in the video how important it is to the recipients and their families. The fact that they were able to wipe out some of the waiting lists is amazing.
