Yeah, so this is the image that greeted me this morning when I made my daily visit to the Real Madrid website:
I immediately burst out laughing and thought “oh man, I really need to blog about that!” They are supposed to be looking all menacing since we face Lyon in Champions League tomorrow. I love these guys like crazy mad love, but I don’t find this especially menacing, do you? Karim is rocking his patented Scared French Bunny look, Sergio looks rather out of it, Iker looks…hot…and inviting (but not menacing) and Crispy, he looks a tad menancing, but more like “Bitch, I do not approve of you wearing those shoes with that outfit” than “Imma tear your ass up on the field tomorrow.” He does come the closest to scary though. So, the Real photographers decided that they need to take it up a notch so they produce…
…this, which had me choking on my coffee. Because nothing is more menancing than pointing.
In their defense, they are doing MUCH better with their tough guy glares, with the exception of Iker, who looks like he’s trying to hold back laughter. Bless. I love these guys. I have no doubt that at least two of them would cut a bitch over the last D-Squared t-shirt on the rack. That’s gonna have to do for menacing.
So after I finished giggling hysterically, I cruised on to my other daily footy stops and was again cracking up when I came upon unamadridista’s hilarious compendium of some of the worst photographic sins from Real Madrid’s photographers. She’s spot on with this one. She also noticed the horrific Ozil powder shots that I chronicled here. I mean, how could you NOT notice them? It’s nice to know that she was equally confused.
Now, I know our boys are going to kick serious arse tomorrow and I have complete faith in them, but oh lordy, these pictures are just…silly. But that makes me love them even more. HALA MADRID!

In my mind, the first pic is the stance KariSergIkris take as the curtain goes up right before they begin their strip routine. And then the finger pointing cues the fireworks, jerseys are torn off, and…ya Lyon who?
KariSergIkris?! I LOVE IT! And yes, It’s totes Chippendales. And their routine would be to this, which is hella cheesy, but perfect. I can completely see this in my mind’s eye now. I’m going to be laughing all day.
