Spanish National Team Call Ups

19 Mar

Sorry I’m a bit late with this but the call ups for the Euro 2012 qualifying matches vs. the Czech Republic (March 25) and Lithuania (March 29) were announced.

Goalkeepers: Casillas, Reina, Valdés.

Defenders: Arbeloa, Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Capdevila, Marchena, Piqué, Iraola.

Midfielders: Xavi, Ineista, Busquets, Xabi, Cazorla, Javi Martínez, Silva, Navas, Mata.

Forwards: Villa, Torres, Llorente.

The players report at Las Rozas on Tuesday, March 22. Whoooo hoooo! You know what that means, fangirls and fanboys…. SERNANDO ACTION!

I can’t wait for a little lovin’ touchin’ squeezin’ because you know those two always deliver. Sigh. ::stares dreamily off into the distance::

weheeee can’t wait for Sernando action!

Glad Cesc isn’t going, I’m sure he just wants to avoid the taunts of Pique & Puyol & co.

Puyol is out too and I would hope Pique would behave himself! I’m VERY excited for Sernando action!

it would be glorious to finally witness some sernando action, but im seriously scared nando wont play long enough, if he even gets in the game 😦

I sure hope that’s not the case, but then we’ll have to make do with some off the pitch Sernando action, which is always plentiful (thankfully)! If you haven’t already seen it follow the Sernando tags for some older Sernando stories/photos.

will do, but i think ive already seen every sigle picture/story posted about sernando :))
if he gets to play and doesnt score it will just be another chance for people to talk trash about him. and that makes me soo sad 😦

Hee! (Me too!) but we’re a new blog so we might have something you haven’t seen (but admittedly, doubtful!)

Yeah, I hear you about the Nando abuse. I’d really love for him to get his groove back, even if it’s just for the National Team. I think he needs the confidence boost desperately.

i guess we will just have to wait and see.
and the other, totally related, but not really, question, how in the world did you manage to go to FOUR games, TWO of them being spanish?? i would give all my earthly possessions to be able to do that, ONCE. so far, no luck on the horizon 😦
