Updated: Madrid belongs to us!

20 Mar

Our heroes! Karim and Ozi brought it on home in our 2-1 win over Atleti in today’s Derby.  I apologize if this recap is slightly incoherent…

…blame it on the Super Moon. Well, actually, blame it on the fact that I went out to the pub to watch the Barca game (good effort Getafe!) and just rolled home, 8 hours later. Guinness was consumed. So this may be…fragmented.

Sami provided a sweet ass pass to Karim in the 11th minute and Benz put it past a helpless De Gea. Let me tell you something though – rarely during the game was De Gea at a loss. That kid is spectacular. The score would have be 10-1 if he wasn’t so on his game.

He may look mild mannered but this kid is seriously dangerous. I can’t help but love him even if I curse him about 800 times per game when we play Atleti.

Mesut managed to get a goal past De Gea at 33′ with an assist from Marcelo. Boo was on fire for the whole game. He’s always so much fun to watch.

How adorable are they?! I love this picture.

The bestest part of Mesut scoring (well, besides, ya know, the fact that he scored) was the bromancing he had with Sergio and Sami.

Aw! They’re baaaaaack! I’ve missed these two together. However, not all was happy times. Marcelo and Kun got into it.

Woof! Gotta admit, that’s rather hot! Marcelo wasn’t the only one who got stroppy. Someone (I *think* it Filipe Luis) tried to take down Ozil and slid across the field, flashing some nekkid arse in the process. Well, then!  Ozil lost his shit at someone (!) as they headed for the tunnel at the half. He had to be restrained by Marcelo! Derbys: they bring out the worst in everyone. Sad to say, the second half didn’t go as well. It was quite a battle but we hung on. Poor Iker got a work out (as did De Gea). Cris had a really rough game.

Poor Crispy was surrounded.

A clear penalty was not awarded to him.

He was constantly taken down throughout the game.

He was subbed out at 70′, clearly in pain.

Mou consoles Crispy.

Kun managed to scored what can only be termed as a “consolation goal” in 86th minute. We managed to hold on and that was all she wrote.

Xabi managed to get a yellow card at 89′ so sadly, he will be out of the game vs. Sporting Gijon next week. It’s time to Put On Your Game Face:

De Gea was a complete and utter rock star. Damn it.

Forlan was oddly ineffectual the entire game. WTF?

This one is completely for Shiggers.

“Hi Mom! Look at me!”

…or are you just happy to see me, Crispy?

Really? You don’t say!

“Damn it! I don’t have the energy for all these bromances!”

“My fangirls can form a line over there. Make it orderly, please!”

It was a hard fought match, but in the end, we reigned supreme. The boys have a well earned day off tomorrow. HALA MADRID!

UPDATED: Wanted to make sure that I had the correct translation on this before commenting, but SOME, note: not all, Atleti fans shamed their team by chanting “Marcelo, you’re a monkey” like the bunch of racist fucks that they are on Saturday. Jesus! (And I don’t mean Navas) What the hell is wrong with people?! Also, when Cris was subbed out, he left the pitch to chants of “Die, Ronaldo!” Super classy, Atleti fans, your moms would be so proud. Both Cris and Marcelo shook it off. They shouldn’t have to get used to this shit. No one should. Very, very uncool.

Poor Cristiano. I really think he should’ve been rested for this game. He definitely needs some more time to recover or he’s going to keep getting hurt.

I love how Marcelo gets into it with the quite possibly the only person on the field shorter than him, making our pintsize Marcelino look like a badass in the process.

And can I just say, I really like De Gea! I’m not sure what it is about him, but he’s adorable and everytime we play Atleti, I almost feel bad when we score. ALMOST. 🙂

    Hala Madrid!

De Gea is amazing. I love to watch him play, except against us! 😉

Poor Cris! Una reported that he had an MRI today. He has a grade 1 injury to his left thigh and will be out for 2-3 weeks. Let’s hope that he really rests this time and gets back to full fitness.

I love Cris’s new hair style of slicking it to the side instead of the spiky style. I hope he recovers soon we need him in the next coming 3-4 weeks!

Good Job team was a great weekend game!!! When I saw that naked bum slide my hubbie and I couldn’t stop laughing!!! hahaha it was hilarious it was so close to sliding off and showing his man parts,,,and it’s quite embarrassing having your bum shown on tv bare! Poor him!

Your comment came in just as I was adding bare arse slide footage to the site. 😉

I like Crissy’s new hair too! I think it’s very flattering on him.

Mesut has played in 4 Derbys this year.

He’s scored three times (once off of the slickest free kick we’ve seen all season) and set up 2 goals.

He also nearly took part in a bitch-fight (and it was so delightfully kittenish of him too!).

Bitch-fights + free kicks + goals + assists = an excellent start to his Derby career, I’m sure we can agree!

Absolutely agreed. I do love it when he gets in a bitch-fight. It’s rather sweet, isn’t it? I’m sure he wouldn’t agree, but… 😉
