Put On Your Game Face: CLE Part 2

6 Apr

Barcelona’s 5-1 drubbing of Shakhtar Donetsk today means that we’re gonna get 4 frigging Clasicos this month (barring a miracle next week). DO. NOT. WANT.  So let’s ignore that and look at our beautiful boys some more, shall we? Post match, they were (for the most part) looking kinda cute!

Hands down that may be the most attractive picture I have ever seen of Fideo. I refuse to believe that a Real Madrid photographer took it!

Carvalho looked great too! We’re on a roll! Who is next? Why, it’s cutie pie Marcelo!

Aw! He’s just adorable with his little backpack,  stubbliciousness and braces.

The Ramos is always pretty, but I’m even more sure than ever that he has had his hair chemically straightened. And then, there’s….Iker. Sigh.

His love of plaid is a continuing mystery and his hair is now bordering on the tragic. Oy. He must not lose The Pretty! This is Real Madrid! We have standards to uphold, even if you are a Saint.

More Put On Your Game Face worthy pictures showed up online, so to take our mind off the fact that we have to get through Barca to touch any silver this season, let’s have some fun.

“At least I can be counted on to bring The Pretty, right?

Erm, Perhaps not. You look more like Dorkiano here!

“Oh no she didn’t!”

Cris: “Hey! Who the hell you calling Dorkiano?”
Sergio: “Hmmm, does Dawson have a Louis Vuitton headband on?”
Pepe: “OMG! Lozil is going to get her arse kicked! It’s about time!”

“She went that way! Git ‘er!”

Harry: “I just don’t understand where it all went wrong. Kids today!”
Mou: “I hear you, Harry, I hear you.”

Fideo, Pepe & Marcelo: “WHOOOOOO!”
Xabi: “C’mere Sese, I needto talk to you about your fashion choices…”
Sergio: “B-b-but what do you mean? I dress NICE!”

Time for a Pipita break! (Very refreshing those thighs!)

Nothing but love for you, babies!

The final score: HALA MADRID!

Other bits and bobs: Nando didn’t score again but at least he had some shots on goal. Also, Dirty Tackle has a hilarious must-read piece today about the Real Madrid – Tottenham game called If It Continued…(Real Madrid vs. Spurs, first leg).

Love Dirty Tackle–hysterical! But Iker, Iker, your hair makes me sad. I could forgive the plaid, as I could forgive most anything you do, but you just need to get over being balding, love. How are you going to rock the emo when you’re looking all used car salesman combover?

    • headbandsandheartbreak April 7, 2011 at 2:25 pm #

You were railing about the combover long before it started looking this bad. He needs to accept it. Many goalkeepers are hot and bald: Pepe Reina, Victor Valdes, etc. Iker is so gorgeous he could totes rock anything…except what he’s sporting right now. Yikes.

Iknow. It kind of hurts my soul to have him look so bad. Poor dear.

This is precisely why the Spanish team shouldn’t play in the Copa America. Look at what Iker looked like in July when they won the World Cup. Look at Iker now. He is obviously exhausted and needs some serious rest. Seriously, he’s just started looking bad in the last month or so when all the games increased and national team duty was thrown in. I can’t imagine what he’s going to look like by the end of May. 😦
