Guti Looking Good & Being Bad, New Signings, Things Could Be Much Worse and Raul

4 May

Ah, Guti! Out and about in Istanbul. There were a few bits of English that we could catch (“very well” and “fuck off”), apparently when asked how long he would be staying in Istanbul, he said “one month.” Oh please, please, please Guti, come to NY and make my dull little life worth living with your antics! I might have to drop out of grad school to keep up the blogging about the shenanigans, but I think it just might be worth it!  This video came via ONTD_Football.

And according to this article “On the latest Revista de la Liga episode, which was recorded today, Guillem Balague confirmed that Real Madrid has signed two players: Nuri Sahin and Callejon.” Thoughts, people?

You think Barca and Real Madrid were badly behaved recently? Check this shizz out. This Kazakh douche has been banned for life and when AEK fans in Greece won the Cup, many of their fans went and attacked the VIP section, throwing projectiles at the families and friends of the Atromitos players. The players rushed to the stands to protect their families and fought with the AEK fans. Riot police had to step in, using clubs and tear gas. That’s one of the most disgusting things that I have ever heard. What the hell is wrong with these people?! The Kazakh guy is just a total dickweed, but what those Greek fans did is beyond. There have been clashes recently with fans and players, which is pretty uncool, but to attack their families in the stands?! WTF?

Breathe, Lozil, breathe!  Anyhow, since his team lost today (sadness!) and it always makes me feel better to look at him, here’s a Raul moment…

Mmmmm, yummy, yum yum, yum! If Guti comes to NY, maybe we can convince Raul to come and visit him? I’d love to chronicle that action!

can guti just get here already?
as soon as he does, i’m going to pitch an “out about town with guti” weekly column. who wouldn’t want to read that?
do you think we could convince NY1 to let him host his own morning talk show?

The only way I will support a Guti morning talk show on NY1 is if Pat Kiernan is his co-anchor. I’ve had a thing for Ol’ Smirky for about 8 million years. Pat Kiernan and Guti would be amazing together.

oh, definitely not as a replacement to pat k. how much do i love that man? every morning, my roommate has it on when i wake up and it’s like the voice of god filtering into my room encouraging me to steel myself against the day because “the R train is running way behind schedule and if that weren’t bad enough, just wait until i see today’s cover of the post.”

i’m imaging guti hosting some kind of fourth hour of NY1, ala kathie lee and hoda on the today show. only ith even more alcohol. and it would actually be, you know, watchable.

Pat Kiernan and I share the same birthday. He’s rocking the Scorpio/Sagittarius cusp like no body’s business.

Guti hosting the 4th hour ala Hoda & Kathie Lee would be sheer brilliance. I would especially love it when The Ramos popped by for a visit. Pim pam, y’all! I want Guti here so bad it’s making my head spin.
