These are supposedly the new Real Madrid kits for 2011-2012. The pictures are making the rounds on Twitter and are not official obviously, but…

More after the jump…

Champions League, I presume?

Well, they’re still better than the new Barca kits, I guess. The Unicef logo is now on the back right above their arses, which makes it look in the opinion of a Twitter commenter “like a tramp stamp.”

I guess it remains to be seen if these are the official designs. I like the red one best, but find the color choice odd. I wonder what Iker will wear?

I like the gold and the dark blue ones but I really dislike the red one… I wonder about Iker too…

Dark blue – okay, white/gold – tacky, red one – just no. I love our current black, purple and white/blue kits.

I hate them all. This is utterly appalling. I am even now feeling a nostalgia for the fabulously appalling (but less appalling) lettering on the current jerseys.

White, black and purple were so elegant! Why are they doing this to us?

Red is one of my fave colors, but it just doesn’t fit Madrid. I know they have had a red kit before that they used a few times, but…

And I know we’re Los Blancos, but I hate wearing the white jersey on game day. First off, I have to wear something underneath it because I don’t look half as alluring as our team in a see through kit (I got my ‘six pack abs’ the old fashioned way – aka drinking a few six packs) and it’s not exactly something you can safely eat chicken wings in, ya know? I’d be happy with a slimming basic black away kit ala Germany’s (which is why I love Die Mannschaft away games). But….my team do or die. Let’s see if these are the final designs. I loathe the collar. I wonder what hideousness they will inflict on Iker? I just pray that it’s not yellow.

I wouldn’t wear my RM jersey to the games because I would be scared that it gets dirty… I wear it only at home to watch games on TV or on online streaming 😉

IMHO, Jerseys are made to get dirty. I’ve spilled so much beer on all mine, usually from jumping up and down and shrieking during the game. Mine was a total mess after the Copa. I just try to keep the white one from getting really bad stains on it (aka red sauce of any kind).

The problem with mine is that it’s signed, so I really wouldn’t wanna have to wash it… 😉

i think the red is especially for iker! they are all terrible. the world and barca will make fun of us if we played in that.

the present germany home and away kits are hands down the best i’ve seen of any national team. they are BEYOND sexy. and they look good on EVERYONE. from iker, to klose to schweini, lahm, arne… 2nd would be portugal’s red.

i really hope we get the kit ‘leaked’ by marca.

Haha, nowhere near as bad as ours! The strips are insane, UNICEF just shouldn’t be where it is and Valdes is gonna look like an olive in goal. And yet, I’ve still pre-ordered the shirt 😛

You guys think yourselves lucky, you could be wearing ours ;P

    • headbandsandheartbreak May 19, 2011 at 6:01 pm #

Yeah, I totally feel for you! I can’t believe how BIG the Qatar Foundation logo is. Who Ate All The Pies said that it looked like the lettering was done in Microsoft Word 97. 😉

Of course, I’m going to own all three of these wretched fucking shirts. I can’t help myself. 😦

      • Dylan May 19, 2011 at 6:05 pm #

There was nearly a TREE with the Qatar Foundation logo, so I’m thanking my lucky stars!

To be fair, I think the white/gold shirt is quite decent. But if anyone asks, I never said that 😉

        • headbandsandheartbreak May 19, 2011 at 6:10 pm #

A TREE?!?! Where the hell would they have fit a tree on there? Did you see the Random Footballers this week that I linked in the other post? The Unicef logo is like “If I end up getting moved to the crotch next year…” XD

          PS I won’t tell. 😉

          • Dylan May 19, 2011 at 6:17 pm #

“Just a few weeks ago I was feeding starving kids and leading a conspiracy to get Barca past Real Madrid in the Champions League and now I lose my prime real estate on their kits?” BAHA! Poor UNICEF! 😛

I should be getting off to bed now. Exams and such in the morning. Eurgh. At least the talk of poor UNICEF being on the crotch cheered me up as I face my impending doom… Thank you! 😀

            • headbandsandheartbreak May 19, 2011 at 8:02 pm #

That was hilarious. 🙂 At least you don’t have those mint green ones and the salmon ones – those were FOUL. Between the two kits, it looked like some sort of horrorshow Jello mold that I’d get on the holidays at my Aunt Dora’s house. 😉

Good luck on your exams! I’m a couple of weeks away from grad school final projects so I feel your pain.

They look like priest’s vestments. Sigh. Don’t get me wrong–our team will look hot no matter what (see Iker in plaid and Sergio in anything he’s picked out himself), but it would be nice if the designers would consider dork factor.

    White kit: collars? NOOOOO!!!
Navy kit: not too hideous, I guess.
Red kit: red’s my favourite colour, but what it has to do with Real Madrid I have no idea. Plus those white stripes (shoulders/side of shorts) on red just scream candy cane..

    • headbandsandheartbreak May 19, 2011 at 8:03 pm #

      Better than Atleti though!

      • HermosaChica May 20, 2011 at 5:55 am #

        That’s true, haha.
Oh well, all the more reason to bite into them with a valid reason denying jail time. 🙂

  7. Susie May 19, 2011 at 10:25 pm #

the blue is the only one mildly okay 😦

    • headbandsandheartbreak May 20, 2011 at 12:32 am #

Let’s hope they jazz it up a bit. Why can’t they have Jean Paul Gaultier design our uniforms? I’m so tempted to buy one of the French NT jerseys even though I don’t support them. I think they look awesome.

  8. maddy May 20, 2011 at 6:22 am #

maybe the red is supposed to be iker’s? they are ALL EWWWWWWWWW.. and they are worse than barcelona’s. why are there collars? are they going to wear them to school?

they are all ghastly. i’m kinda hoping the one marca/as put up a few months ago (white shirt with the blue band around the neck) would be the official one. its super hot (http://www.worldcupjerseys.co.uk/2099/possible-2011-12-real-madrid-adidas-home-football-shirt/)

    • headbandsandheartbreak May 20, 2011 at 11:04 am #

I’d rather the Marca jerseys too even though it looks like the collar is ripped with that blue design. Actually, that’s probably appropriate since we’d probably try ripping the kits off them anyhow! 😉

  9. Suzanne May 20, 2011 at 8:46 am #

Oh geez… I hope this is not true. I thought they had the best kits in the league this year (especially the away one). And now, this? I too love the Germany away kits… With so many German additions, can’t they lean more that direction?!?!

  10. Elisha May 21, 2011 at 6:32 pm #

    Hopefully Iker wears nothing…
