The amazing Marta has won the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year five times(2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010) award, and was the inaugural winner of the FIFA Ballon d’Or (2010). She was a silver medalist at the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics with the Brazilian Women’s National Team, which she has been a member of since 2002. She was also awarded the Golden Ball (MVP) at the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship. In the 2007 Women’s World Cup, she won both the Golden Ball award as the best player and the Golden Boot award as the top scorer. In January of 2011, she signed to the Western New York Flash of the Women’s Professional Soccer league. She’s been called “Pele with skirts” (which he agrees with!) and was the first woman to have her feet imprinted in the cement at Estádio do Maracanã in Brazil.

Mhmmm she is gorgeous * obviously mega talented. I’m a little bit bothered by the Pele comparison though-I mean I hate that they have to compare women to men in sports, its like the countless times I’ve listened to them mention Barcelona in this World Cup. I mean I know they have to do it, so people have some relation but still….
Quite a fantastic selection for today’s daily drool
I hear ya – but they probably find it complimentary to compare her to one of the greatest the sport ever produced.
Love this edition!!!! She’s fantastic!!! And beautiful too !!!
Ole Ole Ole Ole!!!
