Such A Joyous Noise!

21 Sep

Who Ate All The Pies found video footage of the women & children only Fenerbahce – Manisapor game and it’s fantastic.  The crowd roars non-stop and around about 2:30, the chanting is deafening. I. Just. Love. This.  (Read more about the match in last night’s post).

Only women and children 12 and under were allowed to watch, and for free. They knew all the chants, cheered for every move, and a good time was had by all!

This is tons better than playing to an empty stadium, and kajillion times better than playing in front of racist destructive hooligans! I hope this catches in around the world.

    OMG, how beautiful was it?!

I wish there were only women and children on that Schalke vs.Bayern game… No sane woman would whistle (if only admiringly), boo or, God forgive, draw such a horrible banners to greet one of the best players their club ever had. Not only Manuel Neuer is an amazing ‘keeper and amazing person but he’s unbelievably handsome too. Women can appreciate talent and beauty from any team. And they can scream much louder!

Women could make football world so much better place to be in. BTW thank you, darling, for you wonderful job! Always read it but de-lurked only today 😀

You are so sweet! Thank you – I love it when people de-lurk. 🙂 I adore Neuer as well. I can’t believe how wretched people have treated him (remember that guy who slapped him?) Mr. Cute Pants was a Daily Drool back in May. He seems like an absolutely lovely guy. He doesn’t deserve the crap that’s been slung at him.

I would love, love, love to go to a women only game. That would be amazing.
