Almost 7,000 Fans Attend Open Training Today

6 Jan

Okay, who is the jokester who pulled his snood over his face here? I know some of you will be able to identify him by boots alone (or in watishista Emily’s case, by his calf muscles!) but I’m in between meetings and don’t have time to compare boot photos right now.  If it was a rear view, I’d have it in one. Anyhow, today RM hosted an opening training session for lucky fans who got to watch the boys practice and if they were extra lucky, get a picture or autograph. There were almost 7,000 attendees who waited in long lines (well worth it in my humble opinion).

The following players are called up for tomorrow’s La Liga match versus Granada:

Goalkeepers: Casillas, Adan and Jesus
Defenders: Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Albiol and Varane
Midfielders: Lass, Khedira, Granero, Sahin, Xabi Alonso, Ozil, Callejon, Altintop and Kaka
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain and Benzema

Di Maria is still injured. Pepe is injured, but is also unable to play due to suspension. Arbeloa, Coentrao & Carvalho were left out at the coach’s decision. Mou said that he wanted to rest some players. It’s going to be interesting to see who he fields in the next match against Malaga.

In the category of “Oh No They Did Not!” eagle eyed people spotted this incredible fail at the History of Real Madrid book launch. (Photo courtesy of MGEF)

Seriously, people, if you can’t tell the difference between Xavi and Xabi then you have serious problems. Yes, they are both Spanish midfielders who have names begin with the letter X but other than that…

I’m never in Madrid when this happens……… 😥 RM should go on a tour i different countries, and just do training sessions!!! In 08 when the Spanish NT played Denmark in Copanhagen they didn’t practice before the game, they just stepped off the plane and waited for kick off a little later. Not fair!!!!!

Those leg muscles belong to Carvalho – I’m almost certain.

I thought he was with Nike though.

My flight landed at 9:30 and we joked about going to Valdebabas. It was already 11 when we found out about it and it would have taken us too long to get there 😦

My consolation is the tickets to the match tonight. I can’t really complain.

I also think those calf muscles belong to Carvalho. Not to mention the slight peek of thinning hair 😉

8th pic down, shows Carvalho with snood up to his ears and purple shoes laces, so I’m going with Carvalho too.

At first, they looked like Altintops calves, because he definitely has the gastroc gift. Whose ever those are, it’s all good. Thank you for thinking of me!!! ;-p
