Calleti Cuts His Hair & Trolls Barca/The Boys Train/ Arbeloa Talks Albiol/ Xabi Shops

31 Jan

Our gorgeous Calleti cut his hair! I noticed this at the match over the weekend but it’s nice to have up close pictures of the action.  There’s an interview on the RM website and as soon as it’s translated, I’ll post it along with more pictures. However, the quote from the interview that’s getting quite a bit of press is worth posting now.

Callejon got cheeky when asked about Barca and said “Huh, they’re complaining about the refs in Barcelona? I thought they never complained. I guess something must have changed, I don’t know what, but something has changed.”  ::snort:: I really do love this guy and so does Arbeloa. He retweeted the comment and was cracking up about it.

More about Arbeloa (finally breaking his silence about Albiol!) a bit later. First up? TRAINING LEGS! Sad news: Sami & Angel are still injured as is Marcelo (which was obvious from that limp on Saturday). Xabi also has some muscle strain which may be why he left the pitch and headed straight for the locker room this weekend. He did train though. Joining the session were Muppet Babies Casado, Mandi, Lucas, Omar, Denis, Morata and Jesús.

Granero and Kaka start things out with a little piratey action. Let’s hope Kaka doesn’t start reading Kierkegaard and writing in a Moleskine journal as well.

What a fantastic picture of Mou! He looks amazing. I’m so sick of hearing all the rumors about him leaving at the end of this season or being fired even before that. I would be shocked if that happened.  I went through this with someone down the pub this weekend. He’s positive that Mou will be shitcanned before the end of the season. Which is exactly what he said LAST season. I take it all with a grain of salt.

Remember the contest awhile back where you had to describe Callejon in 10 (presumably non-pervy) words? Well, a young doctor in Ghana won! Here he is with his shirt along with a story from RealMadrid.com

Juventius Arthur won the contest on Real Madrid’s official Facebook page

Realmadrid.com / Translation by Michael J. O’Donnell

This young doctor of the University of Ghana Medical School uses the following sentence on his Facebook profile: “There is a thin line between success and failure: hard work.” This is a motto Callejon surely uses to succeed at Real Madrid, the best team in the world.

“A silk thread: a fine and versatile footballer” was the way Juventius described Callejon in the contest. The player said it stood out “because, in truth, it is very original.” The midfielder is happy with the way things are turning out for him on the team: “I feel I help the team and that the fans support me. I will give my all for this crest. I’m grateful for the things people wrote in support of me. It’s been very moving and I had fun reading all the sentences fans used to describe me.”

Congrats Juventius! I love the last picture – he’s got the finger signs going just like a proper ‘baller. Awesomesauce!

As you all know, I’ve been quite concerned over the fact that we haven’t seen pictures of Albiol and Arbeloa hanging out together for a long, long time. They’re usually constantly joined at the hip, which makes it even weirder. I had hypothesized that it was because Albiol refused to cut his hair and Arbeloa didn’t want to be photographed with him (for which I can’t say I blame him). However, today, Arbeloa tweeted about his boo and gave us momentous news! (Please excuse my Google Translate style action).

“It is a pleasure to announce that after a long and interminable wait for Twitter finally arrives in the one and only … Raul Albiol!02/01/2012”

“I do not want to hear anything kangaroos, or haircuts or milk!  All good words for my friend Raul, eh? We know! I’ll be watching!”

Aw! He’s *kinda* defending Albiol’s hair horror! Bless. So as of tomorrow, we’ll have Albiol on Twitter. I guess we’ll be better able to gauge the temperature of the bromance this way.

Xabi and the delicious Nagore hit Dolce and Gabbana to do a bit of shopping and Ballerazzi has the shots. Really, these two are just so yummy, it destroys me. They are a fantastic looking couple, but also down to earth and so unpretentious They’re a joy.

I love these two. Well, I’ve had this post in progress for hours. Work keeps taking me away from finishing it.  I’m going to post this now and have more for you later.

I just found out that Muppet Denis is Russian! 😀 I’m freacking out. I remember my parents saying “We want you to marry a Russian” i’m fine with it i think 😀
And Calleti speaks the truth. I mean .. isn’t Barca that team who always wants to win fair and isn’t it Real always complaining? Barca, don’t give up your positions, you have to save the world with your humbleness, fairness, the perfect football .. let be Real the badasses. Oh yeah 😀
