Woot Woot!!!! We have the trophy!! Tonight’s celebrations were extremely bittersweet, but GAH they were beautiful! What a way to finish off this day & amazing season – a well played match,  four goals (two of them OZI’S!!), reaching the 100 Liga points goal, FIREWORKS!, our boys, & some bebes. It was just such a beautiful celebration! I’m so glad the team is headed to Kuwait on Tuesday, because I’m so not ready for the season to be over…

As soon as the lights went out, we were greeted with this gorgeous, starry-like scene & then serenaded by Placido Domingo.

Celebration Mou continues to be fucking awesome! I was not expecting him to do this at all, but when is Mou predictable? This was so sweet of him.

“Easy Sergio…that’s too high.”

I think anyone who is brave enough to get a piggyback ride from Mou deserves their own trophy, maybe it was worked out beforehand, but still…GO CALLEJON!!!

I’m not even going to comment on what appears to be two giant cojones coming out of Benz’s shorts….

There were some beautiful bebe’s at the Bernabeu to watch their daddies finish off the season. Bebe Alba & bebe Luca represented with teeny custom jerseys.

I love Alba’s jersey & skirt combo, TOO CUTE!

Xabi, Jon, & Ane.

How cute is Rui Faria’s baby girl with her itty bitty pigtails??

Mou & Jose Jr.

I wish Cris Jr. made an appearance, but I guess Papa Cris is too protective for that kind of display. Marcelo’s Enzo & Callejon’s Paula also made appearances, but I haven’t found pics yet!

“Come on you guys, get under my cape!”

Cris dedicated his goal to this little boy, named Nuhazet.

And finally, it was WOOF after WOOF in the locker room, with visits from Zizou & the Original Ronaldo. Sadly, there were no underwear shots this time around…*sigh* we’re heading into a long footy break, is it too much to ask for some leg, bum, & abs??

Arbie with former Depor coach, Joaquin Caparros.

No tighty whities, but I’ll take this. Thank you Pipa.

And THANK YOU Arbie for those fantabulous biceps of yours!! I imagine, it’s from all the Thronie sword play that takes place at home…where I imagine you wearing a kilt…

 Celebration Comments:

Mou: “I just want to thank everyone for giving us this magical night. Real Madrid is the best club in football history and always tries to win every title. This team will go down in history as the one that took 100 points, and so will these players.”

Callejon: “The fans have made possible everything we’ve achieved. We always have to give them more and we’ll fight more for them.”

Iker: “Thank you all for being here in this party, which is also yours.”

“We’ve worked very hard in 38 games to win a league title all Madridistas wanted after winning it last three years ago. We don’t want to forget those outside the spotlight who are equally important to us. They make life easier for us and help throughout the entire season. This goes out to the equipment managers, physiotherapists and everyone at Real Madrid City. Hala Madrid!

“Generally speaking, we outdid ourselves this season and we want to take another step forward next year. Things won’t be easy, but we have a young and ambitious squad that wants more. We’ve earned numbers worthy of a true leading side and we haven’t lost a single game in an entire leg.”

“What happened in the Champions League was a real shame. Let’s see if luck is on our side next year and we can reach the end.”

Cristiano: “This is a moment of great happiness and joy. Sharing three years with you has been exciting and everything has been better with your help. We really enjoyed winning this.”

Pipita: “The past six years have been wonderful. I have no words to thank you for your affection. This is amazing. You don’t experience this every day.”

“I’ve been here nearly six marvelous years and I’ve always had to fight. No one has given me anything for free. I am very grateful to the club. I gave it my support as best as I possibly could whenever I was on the pitch. I hope everything turns out alright.”

Sergio: “Everything comes through great sacrifice. We’re very happy to celebrate with all Madridistas. Thank you for giving us goosebumps whenever we step onto this pitch. Thank you for letting me wear this shirt.”

Granero: “We’ve managed to take this club back where it deserves with great efforts and hard work, but without lecturing anyone about it. Barcelona dominated for three years and we dominate now.”

“Higuain was very happy tonight and I’m sure he’ll be here many years. He’s scored many goals, he’s been a standout player all these years and I’m sure he’ll continue to be.”

Adan: “I’ve been on the first team squad two years and I’ve had the good fortune of celebrating two titles. It’s been incredible to win the Copa del Rey and La Liga. This is a marvelous night for all Madridista because this has been a very complicated league championship. We had to win every Sunday because failing to do so could cost us the title. We’ve worked very hard and won the title. We feel great satisfaction for it. It shows our hard work throughout the season, which started in August and ended with tonight’s celebration.”

Pepe: “It is a real pleasure to train with my teammates every day and to be part of the Madridista family, which always supports me. I hope we can celebrate many more titles at this wonderful stadium.”

Marcelo: “I am very happy. We hope to keep up the good work next year so we can celebrate more titles with these wonderful fans. We’re also delighted about establishing a new record with 100 points.”

Ronaldo: “Real Madrid won the league title because they played better. I think they’re in great form. They’re scoring many goals and playing well collectively. This team improves every day and I’m sure next season will be fun.”

“This title is special because it brings Barcelona’s run to an end and winning against them is also important. I’m very happy about all the goals we saw them score this year.”

“The team had a very solid season in which it also reached the Champions League semifinals. What happened in the penalty shootout was a shame, but I hope they win the title. I never did, but I want them to.”

Placido Domingo is totally a hero to Madridistas the world over, but his lip-syncing was just horrible last night. You should have practiced a bit more sir!

Mou bowing to the team had me grinning non stop, but the nonsense of Pipa leaving had me in tears. Please don’t leave us!!!!

Everyone needs to quit playing with our emotions when it comes to Pipa! First Mou assures everyone that he’s not leaving & then Pipa looks like he’s about to break down as the boys push him to speak during the celebrations…it didn’t help to hear the commentators go on about farewells. Ugh, I really hope he stays!!!

Mou bowing shocked me, but it was fitting. He thinks this team is phenomenal and he always says that they are the ones making magic. He is simply guiding and molding their skills 🙂 It warms my heart to see humility from the Special One.

And this situation with Pipa has me worried. It was so great to have him back! The triple threat (Cris, Benz and Pipa) was just getting warmed up! I hope he will be at the open training session on June 7th. I would seriously make a sign pleading for him to stay in Madrid 😦

I want him to stay with us. And Kaka and everyone. Ok, I’ll kinda understand if Kaka, Carvalho, Lass and Altintop leave us. Kinda coz I want Kaka to stay. But under no circumstances am I ready to accept that Pipa is going to be leaving us.

        I loath transfer season.

Reading Pipa’s comments made me so sad. It sounds so final and wistful. Even though he’s a big ol’ bromance wrecker, I can’t bear the thought of him leaving! PIPITA QUEDATE!

        • drea May 14, 2012 at 8:01 am #

Noooooooo Pipita, DON’T GO!!!!! He seemed so sad like he just knew that was the last time he was going to be there with all of them. Even if he didn’t play as much as he wanted to, he still made the top 5 goal scorers in La Liga, so that should count for something…. and he’s not going to be guaranteed a much better situation at PSG, especially if they get all the other guys they want for next season. Pleeeaaase Pipita, stay! Cris-Benz-Pipa is unbeatable!

I loved one of the reactions I saw on Tumblr tonight to all of this:

“On a scale from zero to Mesut Özil, how feliz are you right now?”

When he scored (and then scored again!) my heart almost burst from pride. So happy for him! And that standing ovation Pipita got when he was subbed off–I don’t think I’ve ever heard a crowd reaction like that–it was really something else. I hope he knows how much he’s loved.

Thanks for posting all the pics and vids–I was watching on GolTV and the idiots who run that channel decided to cut off after the hugging session with FloP–no speeches, no fireworks, nada. Lame.

Muy feliz! Mesut’s favorite phrase has made it on to a t-shirt which had me giggling for hours. It’s by the person who did the Drunk!Xabi shirt.

whomever did that is a GENIUS. i have not laughed so hard since the “this won’t be an easy party!” and “hello, cronies!” days!

    Such lovely photos and words!!

I know there was that whole wear white campaign thing, but I have to say I found it truly adorable that Luca had white pants on and Alba had a white skirt & bow. Cute bb madridista levels at an all-time high!

Our team is amazing and this celebration was beautiful. Iker thanking the ones that do so much work behind the scenes, Mou bowing to the players, Callejon riding Mou, Sergio’s comment about penalties, oh and Iker’s bizarre attempt at imitating Cristiano haha…it was all so great!
I did some weird happy/sad ugly crying when the team joined the crowd’s ‘¡Pipita Quedate!’ chants. I cannot worry about his future at this point, or I’ll be a wreck all summer, so instead I’m going to distract myself by staring at Zizou and marveling at how he just gets more perfect with every passing year…

I love this team so much. Even the baller babies are flawless! Anyone know if there will be coverage of tomorrow’s/later this morning’s activities? Our boys should be breaking out the suits for that!

  6. sweethearthalo May 14, 2012 at 8:18 am #

Calleti is such a kid on himself but he seems to be such a good daddy for Paula :’)
Omg this Pipa thing made me cry so much, especially these “6 PAST years”. Don’t make it to the past, be the future :”( There’s nothing better on this world than Pipita – Cris – Benz. I don’t want to have anything else. *crying*

  7. jellyace May 14, 2012 at 1:05 pm #

Thank you for this post! What an amazing celebration! It’s a fabulous way to end the season. Gee, I suddenly have a lot of time on my hands…

Yep Pipita’s words weren’t exactly peering into the future, were they? Sure hope we get to see him back in the Royal Whites soon. #pipitaquedata
