New Octopus On The Block

29 May

The new octopus in town is Paulus. Born in Germany, Paulus resides in the Sea Life Aquarium in Porto, Portugal.

Wonder if having to choose between Portugal and Germany in the Euro 2012 match up is going to cause a conflict of interest?

I guess we’ll have to weigh the opinions of the llama, ferret, elephant and pig to see who ends up being the most consistent.

And what happened to Ikerpus and Iniestapus?! Their careers were extremely short lived.

Oh yay! A new OctoPaulus or Pulpo Paulus! I hope he’s quite accurate. I was wondering the same thing about Ikerpus and Iniestapus…maybe they guessed wrong?

    Now hang on!

There is only one Octopus Paul – and Jenny is his prophet! What’s more he has an actual mausoleum! How many Octopi do you know who have one of those??

    THE NERVE.

Portugal are going down…there must be a curse unto the fourth generation for this sacrilege. A Red-Sox biblical-type-curse that will take 80 years to purge…

I found this picture a while ago and had a good laugh. http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/6651/pulpopaulpoderesweb.jpg (just thought it was relevant)

Seriously – there will Never Be Another Pulpo Paul. All of these sycophants trying to gravy train (exploit) their pets into ‘psychic’ selectionists need to just shut up and stop hogging the camera. I’m sure that these poor beasts will ‘pick’ a few games correctly, but none of them will have Paul’s perfect record and I guarantee that none of them will capture our hearts, either.
