Training, a Chat with Xabi & Arbie, and a Truck?

16 Jun

The boys got back to work today ahead of their Croatia match on Monday, they got to drillin’, runnin’, bromancin’, & messin’ about, you know how they do. They also left us with a couple of treats after the work was done, check out some bits & bobs from Iker, Sergio, Xabi, & Arbie.

“Can I play with Sergio now?”

Arbeloa – “Hey! Bromances aren’t allowed to train together!”

“Come on cariño, they can never stop what we have!”

What’s with only Sergio being blurred out? It’s very Ring-ish and unsettling, does he now have only seven days to…find another bromance partner? NO!!!! The horror!

Caganer Valdes

Dear God, no! Pepe has been infected with Iker’s Never-nuditis 😦

Negredo talked about his & Sergio’s keeper sessions in his presser today, here are the piccies. Sergio looks like he was coaching Negredo & giving him tips, while Negredo looks a little scared to be on the receiving end of all the shots! Negredo said that Sergio is pretty good at goal keeping, remember at the beginning of last RM season when Sergio teased that he was training to take Iker’s starting position? I guess he does have some skill!

I would like to see Negredo as a keeper for one reason, and one reason only, he doesn’t wear an undershirt!

Um Jordi……..nothing to see here, let’s keep it movin’!

Ahh this is such a sweet picture, it melts my heart!

Javi Martinez was serenaded throughout training by a group of fans who traveled all the way from his hometown to cheer him on. Their songs & cheers were rewarded when Javi came to meet them & gift them with his training shirt. He looks like he totally made those guys’ year, such a sweet thing for him to do. Javi wasn’t the only one to get a visit though, Iker’s friends stopped by to show their support & posed for a pic.

Xabi and Arbeloa took part in this Adidas interview, they were all lovey dovey, pretty smiles, chatting about the upcoming Euro challenges & how well they get along. I love the little snickers & smiles they both sneak at each other! Well it’s mostly Arbeloa who sneaks the smiles, but let’s not pick on him, he’s love deprived. There is a longer version of the interview, in Spanish of course, so I can’t help you out with the translations 😦 but if anyone would like to give us the highlights, we would be forever grateful! It’s actually pretty funny when you use the transcribe audio option & then turn on the captions, the translations never fail to provide laughs.

And lastly, Sergio tweeted this pic of a Sergified truck, the damn thing looks like it’s wearing a jersey! I gotta admit, it is pretty cool & doesn’t make me want to do this to my car at all…..nope, I’m not jealous at all.

Are they simulating rain conditons for practice? Or is the groundskeeping crew really hellbent on watering the practice field?

If the groundskeeping crew is anything like me, they were just trying to get everyone to remove their shirts! 😉

the last photo brings new meaning to the phrase “park the bus” or rather… “park the truck”. 🙂

So I can’t remember the whole Xabi & Arbeloa interview but one of the most important and key evidence that our Double A’ bromance lives on behind closed doors is when Arbeloa is asked a question from Facebook and they ask who is the best partnership when it comes to parchis, playstation ect. His answer; “well the reality is that there is absolutely no competition for the Arbeloa/Albion team!” I believe the bromance still lives one! Even if they aren’t all over each other anymore 😦

Ahh thank you for that! Yes the Double A’s are still a couple!! Now we need Albiol to come out and say something equally sweet.

Ok so I have never done the translate captions thing before but the first line just made me laugh so hard: Van Basten and Gullit crack formed a mexican team.

See? haha I think I’m going to use those captions more often! This is totally unrelated but with the captions that were coming up it reminded me of these bad lip reading videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9L9A1IMTQo
