Things don’t go as planned for France

19 Jun

Hmmm…Sweden decided to kick some ass on their way out of the tournament, didn’t they? The Swedes left the French stunned, actually I think everyone was stunned, after the first goal (which was killer) I thought France would just bounce back but things got messy & they never recovered. Thanks to Zlatan & Larsson, Sweden got to leave the Euros on a more positive note, while France needs to pick it up & put some oomph back into their game for Saturday’s clash against Spain. Not too much oomph though…;)

Benz has yet to score for his side in the Euro’s, his last chance to put away some goals could be this weekend..but that’s no pressure at all, right? Speaking of no added pressure situations, France will also be without Mexes when they face Spain, he picked up his second yellow today which means he’s out, out, out.

Ponytail power!

Yep, it had to be Zlatan to open up the scoring! With the power he put into that thing, there was no way Lloris was going to be able to stop it.

Larsson sealed the deal in the the 71st minute with Sweden’s second goal. What I don’t understand is why there wasn’t more shirt swapping going on, I mean if shirts can be ripped off in celebration, can’t they be ripped off in frustration too? Why didn’t the Swedes insist on take a French souvenir home with them? Why were we denied the shirtlessness? I quite think we deserved it after that match….I hope they make it up to us by swapping shorts after the Spain match. Double the goodies!

Too sad to strip.

I’m happy Ibra went home with at least one victory and THAT goal to his credit. I’m not sure what to expect for Spain vs France, considering both teams haven’t done well this last group stage round. Can you imagine how crazy bad it could’ve been for France if say, Shev had been fit to play more for the Ukraine, or if that goal had been counted?

I think both Spain and France are coming from places where they can only move up and do better in the next round, or at least I hope so. The shocks, twists, and turns of the group stages are making me a little nervous for the quarters! France is all about redeeming themselves after South Africa, they are veryyyy lucky to be moving on..I guess we’ll see how things work out soon!

Zlatan’s goal was absolutely gorgeous. If they had to go out, what a way to go.

Wasn’t it? Ibra really kicked butt with that golazo. Makes Rooney’s goal look like an “oops!”

France had possession, had more corners, had more shots on goal and yet…nada! No one on the French team wanted Ibra’s jersey?

Ibra gave the swedish crowd his jersey, thats why no one on the french team got it.
Sweden had a great crowd dident they?
