I’m With The Otter On This One

28 Jun

Otters Moermel and Ferret made their predictions yesterday. They checked out both Germany and Italy’s mini-cars laden with treats. Moermel was digging on Italy but ultimately it was Ferret who went for Germany.(Who names an otter “Ferret”?!?!)

So very confusing! At first, I thought it was just one otter but the captions proved me wrong. If we have to go for all time favorite otter pairs, I’d have to choose Pip & Pop from The Bear In the Big Blue House. Here’s a clip of them rocking out to their big hit song “Otter Love” (If you want to hear the whole thing, it’s here and please, don’t ask me how I know about such things).

Otters aside, I still think Die Mannschaft will take this, but it won’t be easy! Here’s some pictures of the boys over the past couple of days along with Italy.

Germany’s starting line up is: Neuer; Boateng, Hummels, Badstuber, Lahm; Schweinsteiger, Khedira; Reus, Özil, Podolski; Klose

Total Group Bend N’ Snap! Nando has started a trend!

A little Pirlo on Pirlo action

Montolivo’s shoes have the German flag on them!

Italy starting line up: Buffon; Balzaretti, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Marchisio, Pirlo, De Rossi; Montolivo; Balotelli, Cassano

And as always, here are the fans getting ready for the match. This young Polish couple Ilona and Kamil celebrate their wedding day with a kiss and a lot of cheering Italian soccer fans! Mazel tov, kids!

A very pretty young bi-teamual showed her support for both teams today and got photographed quite a lot as a result. I’d be in the same boat. All three of the teams left in this competition mean a great deal to me. It’s going to be hard no matter who wins/loses.

Best of luck to both teams. Here’s hoping for a fantastic match (that does end in penalties)! Go Die Mannschaft! Forza Azzurri!

It might have been better with Reus and Klose starting than it has been with Kroos and Gomez. I had to cut off my coffee drinking because I am about to have a fucking heart attack. That first half was tragic.

At this point in time all I can think is “dear God you got the WRONG Mario, WRONG Mario!!”

Özil really needed Klose and Reus from the beginning of the game they tend to better compliment his style of play…my heart broke seeing Özil sitting on the pitch 😥

Honestly, people are starting to say that Italy is better than Germany. One awful performance does not mean they are automatically the worst, they had a 14 win streak going! Germany is still the best ❤ But congratulations Italy!

Sadness. I had really high hopes of watching one Mats Hummels marking one Fernando Torres in a battle of incredible hotness. Sergio would of course get jealous and run up there to make sure Mats wasn’t getting too hands-on. So much pretty on one field.

Just a quick thing, I saw this and thought I should share it. Apparently this is Mesut’s new website, managed by his father. Not sure whether or not it’s real, but the source I got it from (fan page on facebook) is pretty trustworthy. Something to keep our eyes on: http://www.ozilmarketing.com/

omg The Bear In the Big Blue House!!! I used to watch that as a toddler 😀 I always sang the last song with the bear and Luna the moon, haha.

The match was great and nervewrecking at the same time… it’s sad for germany, because they have a fantastic team.

I hope the otters have other career choices. Still sad.
