Oh my god, Sergio. I know y0u were clubbing last night (in Malaga), but what on earth are you wearing and for that matter what the hell is he wearing? Just…NO. I’m glad Guti wasn’t there because if he had shown up, it would have turned into a supernova of oh hell no! In Sergio’s defense, his outfit is light years better than the other guy’s but honestly!

So if you were to choose which couple on Real Madrid would be jetting off to Las Vegas to take in the UFC fight between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, who would it be? I’m betting that you wouldn’t choose Carol and Kaka, but yet there they were.
Kaka looks a little too excited about the bloodshed and mayhem to come. Shiggers sits on the other side of Brooklyn, nodding her head sagely and feeling validated. As well she should. ::shudder:: Carol even tweeted a picture of the ring, cage, whatever it’s called.
I have to admit, I’m extremely freaked out by UFC. It’s just not my thing. Too bloodthirsty, etc. I’m just really surprised that Kaka & Carol are into it (check out how good their seats are!). (“I’m not” said Shiggers)
Iker and Sara were at the wedding of friends Vicky and Javichi recently and he posted this shot on his Facebook. He was also planning to attend the wedding of Andres Iniesta and Ana Ortiz yesterday. I hope some pictures surface soon. I’m sure it was just gorgeous.
Ooh, gossip scuttlebutt. In addition to Messi, Valdes and Pinto expecting new additions to their families, apparently Villa has used his injury time well and Patricia is expecting again! I hope this is confirmed soon. Their daughters Zaida and Olaya are completely adorable. A hearty mazel tov!

And now on to Real Madrid’s pre-season… Remember that exclusive training in LA? For the cheapest ticket ($85) you also have to pay shipping and service charges bringing the minimum total to $120.30 as this screenshot from MGEF shows. WTF?! It’s not even reserved seating!
MGEF also posted news and a schedule of Real Madrid’s pre-season. Apparently, the first pre-season friendly vs. Athletic Tétouan on July 24th has been called off due to logistics and the club is looking for another opponent.

I love how they have two days travel time listed from NYC to Philadelphia. It’s a two hour bus ride. My guess is that they’ll have an extra day hanging in NYC or Philly and perhaps, if we’re lucky, a training in Philly? That would be ace! My whole crew is arriving on Friday night for the Saturday match. Who else is going to Philly? Get in touch!

You just gave me some real hope for an open training in Philly. When we went to the Barca/Man United one in DC it was almost better than going to the game. They interacted with the crowd, took time to sign autographs, and provided loads of up-close photographic opportunities. So here’s to wishful thinking! If it does happen, I just hope the pricing is more reasonable than the one in LA.
All I’m saying is… Walk in there like you own the place and no one will know the difference. Okay, well maybe they will. But I can hope. I sense much stalking and much embarrassment on both of our parts…

I’ll be in Philly!!! All by my lonesome for the match as well as my husband and I weren’t sure how my 4 year old would do and didn’t want to pay for tickets for the 2 of them to walk around the whole match. I am super pumped.
