UPDATED AGAIN: El Pirata In Jot Down

7 Aug

Three cheers for watishista Christine who just emailed me the new interview with El Pirata in Jot Down! The interview is in Spanish, but I know at least one person has kindly offered to translate, so peeps – you’re on! Here you go – when we get a full translation, we will add it to this post. Until such a time, we’ll have to Google Translate and stare at the pretty pictures.

UPDATED: We have been contacted by Jot Down and they asked us to remove the interview from the blog, which of course, we’re happy to do. You can read it here. SECOND UPDATE: I posted the wrong URL. Argh. Sorry about that. Corrected now.

I’m dead. That’s it. This man is such a beauty.

Hahaha! I thought of you as soon as I saw the pictures. 🙂

Yeah, me, too! Something to tide you over.

I love how Google Translate calls him “Barn.” Barn = Granary = Granero

OF COURSE he’d ask for coffee as his last ever meal.

I really can’t even think of this until I’m finished with Ginger, but El Pirata does not disappoint, his Kafka stanning in particular cracks my shit up. And the way he laughs when asked if they have a literary circle in the locker room and he says Xabi’s the only one who talks to him about books. LOL. Shocking.

Yeah, I wasn’t exactly expecting him to form a book club with Sergio, Arbeloa and Albiol, you know? 😉

This interview is just too awesome…and they shot the pics in the library, (which for a librarian like myself) is a dream come true! Just perfect for my birthday!

*dies* I’m not even halfway through translating the beast of an interview they did with Xabi Alonso, LOOK at that massive chunk of text!!!

By the way, if you want just some bits and pieces I’ve managed so far from Jot Down, the Ginger edition, let me know. It starts off strongly with post Barca ass kicking celebrations and gets better and better from there.

Of course we would absolutely LOVE that. Send it in whenever you’re done and we’ll more than happily post it. 🙂

I’m in between changing jobs and moving to a new city and it’s seriously massive, it may take weeks to be done done and it’s seriously running the risk of tl;dr if you post it all in one post. For now, I’m going to email you the parts I’ve translated so far.

        • headbandsandheartbreak August 7, 2012 at 2:17 pm #

Yikes! You’re super busy! We can run it as a series. 🙂

          • Caro H August 7, 2012 at 2:25 pm #

Awesome. I emailed you the first part.

The whole mag is fantastic, btw, even if it makes me giggle and think it should be renamed Stuff Hipsters Like. I’m glad I got it, even if it was initially just to stare at pictures of Ginger’s beautiful naked feet.
