Updated: Nuri Sahin: Liverpool’s Number 4

25 Aug

Well, here you go! He passed his medical and has been given the number 4. While I pictured him wearing red this season, I really thought it would be that of Arsenal. Best of luck, Nuri! We’ll be keeping an eye on you.

Updated: Here’s a nice interview with Xabi from the LFC website. He talks about Xabi’s love of the club and his encouragement to go there.

I was hoping it would be Arsenal 😦 I wish him well, but I can’t wish him TOO well now, if you know what I mean.

ha, i’m the exact opposite — i was hoping it would be l’pool, because if it were arsenal, i’d wish him well but not TOO well. 😉 as it stands, i’m delighted he’s a red! enjoy your stay, nuricorn, and come back to us next season!

With you on that one. Him leaving is ok with me if it’s to another club I support. So glad it wasn’t Arsenal 😀 Although saying that, I still hope he does come back to Real Madrid to actually play.

Godammit all to hell, I thought I was over this. Then he has to send some kid who was at Ataturk that night off to “the greatest stadium in the world” and oh my heart… I need to get drunk.

I’m sorry Nuri, I hope you’ll be AMAZING for us and all excited to have lots of playing time for a change, but you’ve made me emo as fuck on your first day. Not your fault, kid, not your fault.
