On 9/11, as always, we remember those we lost but this year, I also wanted to acknowledge those who keep us safe. So why not feature the United States Women’s Armed Forces Soccer team? These ladies bring it on the pitch and stand up for us as well. I wish I could have found pictures of the whole team together, but at least I have their names after the jump. I love it! Good call, Lozil. You don’t have to support war to support the troops.

Lozil, you’re awesome. I say that as an army daughter and sister (dad’s retired but my brother’s still active duty, Iraq War vet). It means the world when people say thanks.

And may I shout out the USMA Black Knights, whose practices I may or may not have haunted while my brother was a cadet: http://www.goarmysports.com/sports/m-soccer/army-m-soccer-body.html
