A Little Bit Of Pirata

16 Sep

“I’ve got my eyes on you, Pirate! Stay the hell away from my Juanin!”

(To which Pirata probably snitted back “Sergio sends his love.”) Our favorite hipster classed it up all over the midfield this weekend as QPR held Chelsea to a 0-0 tie. And no matter what Nando had to say about it, he reunited with his BFF, Juan Mata.

The QPR fans have taken to Esteban immediately. He retweeted several pictures that they sent him of their Granero jerseys. This one was very sweet though. He not only retweeted it but sent the little boy a thank you. He also thanked the fans for their support.

It seems like he’s settling in nicely and the fans are obviously embracing him. And he gets to play! So as much as we miss him, it looks like right now, he’s in a great place. He has the chance to show his quality on a weekly basis. I’m happy for him. (Pictures via Twitter and GFSports)

hee. seriously, though, WTF is nando doing in that photo? delighted to see the photo of pirata and juanin, though — i hope they’re having all sorts of fun in london together when they can.

and … okay, i’ll bite. i will admit that until pirata was traded, i didn’t give QPR a second thought, so i admit my ignorance: what is with the “ur’s”?

i’m so glad he’s settling in so nicely. i still miss him loads, but i know this was for the best for him.

my heart still aches for el pirata, but i’m glad we can see that the fans are taking such a quick liking to him, he deserves that! and as huge as a chelsea fan as i am, i was so proud of my madridista and how he held it down. #HalaElPirata

I’m following QPR for him despite never ever watching the EPL before. I still miss him. :,(

As a Madridista, watching Pirata bossing the midfield during that match was the best part of my football watching weekend. Yes, watching QPR v Chelsea was THE BEST PART. Sigh……….

But we’re here to talk about Esteban and how happy we are that he’s doing so well and that the QPR fans are absolutely in love with him! I’m taking quite a shine to Pirata’s new team tbh. I love that that cutie pie has El Pirata on his shirt instead of just Granero. And it was so so lovely to see him running free for a full 90 for once and bossing people around. Xabi should be very proud. Only downer was that Mata didn’t actually play.

That little boy! His shirt says El Pirata! I seriously love it.

Still missing Pirata terribly, but as everyone is saying, it’s great that he gets the chance to show how skilled he is each week. I’m happy for him. But I’ll keep hoping we either get him back (with more opportunities for him to play of course) or he at least goes to a club where he has a better opportunity to win big.
