Sheesh! We Can’t Get A Break Lately, Can We?

18 Sep

While awaiting the team, the Evil Bunny Bus was given a ticket in front of the hotel by an overzealous meter maid. Let Brooks Peck tell you all about it, while getting off a laugh out loud zinger at the end over at Dirty Tackle. Let’s hope our luck is better in the match, eh?

*headdesk* I’m already looking at omens for this match. Please footy gods, let this be good for us.

Totally unrelated, but the guy that Sergio was signing the autograph for kinda reminded me of Iker- his profile at least. Mabe that’s why Sergio couldn’t say no :). Then the bald man in the suit who walked by Mou reminded me of Pep Guardiola. While I momentarily got excited about thinking about Peppers, I can’t help but feel like his “appearance” would be a bad omen.

i looked at this post really quickly in between meetings at work, and for a nanosecond, my first thought was, “why is iker not in uniform and god, he’s put on a bit of weight around his face!” and then i realised it wasn’t him. so you’re not alone! 🙂

jesus christ, this team is going to give me a coronary by the time may rolls around …

No Ramos tonight. His statements in the mixed zone on saturday got him benched today. Mou did not like what was said. So Varane will play. All of a sudden I see City winning this game with ease. How is it possible to benched a 2x eurochampion and worldchampion, in a match of such importance, and replace him with a youngster, with close to zero CL experience. I understand the message Mou wants to send, but do it in a league game of less importance!!!!! I’m absolutely furious right now!

Is that definite or conjecture? I didn’t see anything he said that was controversial. Did I miss something?

A Danish reporter, Luna christofi who is the Danish expert in spanish football, said before the game that another reporter spoke to rene ramos, who said sergio is not injured. He’s just benched. The Danish reporter said that it seemed to be mou’s way of punishing Ramos for the comments he did not like after saturdays game. Apparently ramos did not understand the coach’s hard criticism of the team and said so in the mixed zone. A division of the dressing room excists again and it is reported in some papers that the spanish players does not like mou.

I don’t agree with the coach, when he cannot be professional and see what’s best for the team. I don’t know if I agree with his decisions anymore, or if I’m a Real fan much longer sadly.

Also kickette reports Sergio Ramos is now dating Pilar Rubio

This team is my team, and I will never not support them. But, if Sergio starts getting benched… I can’t even. He is vice captain, few are as devoted to the team as he is, few are as talented as he is. This generation of RM without Sergio as a starter is literally unimaginable to me. So I’m trying not to freak here.

Oh, and from what I can tell of Pilar Rubio so far, I much prefer her to Lara (not that it would take much).

I don’t agree with him being benched for such an important game, but Mourinho always has his reasons and he is the manager. I wouldn’t expect to say shit about my boss to the world and not get punished for it.

Also I think Varane did a great job and does deserve more playing time. He’s gonna be one of the best in years to come.

You’re right about Varane. I was glad to see him play and I think he did very well.

I’m still unclear about the Sergio situ. What did he supposedly say about Mou? Also, and maybe this was just cover, but Mou denied rumors about tension between them and said the switch was purely tactical.

My goodness! Surely this team is surrounded by more drama than all the TV shows out there combined!

Why do you prefer Pilar to Lara ?

I had to check updates of the game while I was at work and then do my best not to shriek. Hala-frickin-Madrid.
