Pre-Bernabeu Trophy Training And Other Bits & Bobs

26 Sep

Sorry for the quick posts lately. It’s busy times all up in Chez Lozil. I just finished watching the Bernabeu Trophy match while I was doing other work. Sheesh! I don’t like such one sided games, but it was really good to see some folks getting playing time and some of the bebes making their debuts. Anyhow, here are the pre-match training shots. In addition to all of the first team,  Pacheco, Fabinho, Derik, Alex, Mosquera, Omar, Denis and Mario Hermoso joined in.

Many of our players were given the match off: Cris, Marcelo, Sergio, Iker, Arbeloa, Pepe, Xabi, etc. while the others got some playing time (most notably, Kaka, who ended up with a hat trick).  Iker and Sergio watched the game together and from the looks of it, wore each other’s clothing. Playing dress up, gentlemen?

Meanwhile, Cristiano tweeted this picture of himself and Pepe from yesterday. And whoever updates Mesut’s face book page would like you to know (in multiple languages, no less) that he is not out every night partying. So there.

I’m wondering what it will take for Mou to let Kaka play in La Liga. Just put him in the team already! It’s not like we don’t need him!
And this is proof they do chare clothes. That plaid shirt must be Iker’s! It clashes like hell with that belt!

Iker and Sergio totally raided each others wardrobes!

If someone’s gotta wear that plaid shirt, Sergio should. He wears it better. Also, I’m a fan of Iker in dark colors (I’m always a fan of Iker, but… details)

Iker in Sergio’s clothes and Sergio in Iker’s clothes = PERFECTION 🙂

WHO is ginger baby?!?! Must stalk Castilla…

Oh, that is Alex Fernandez. How cute is he? He was a Daily Drool in the past. His brother Nacho also plays for us.

Oh, THANK YOU! Although now I feel slightly pedophiliac…(Is that a word? It is now.) But my ginger love is so rarely satisfied in the football world…

He’ll be 20 next month if that helps. 😉 We’ve had a few ginger hotties as Drools. I should make a ginger tag since there are several ladies who dig them!

…not really. If they’re not legal age to drink here, that spells trouble for me! Haha. But if you did make that tag, I will definitely be trolling it. 🙂

I hear you on that one! When I get some free time, I’ll try to make that tag. I know there is a few!

Yes, a fellow New Yorker knows that you can only keep someone in your apartment for so long. You have to go out eventually! And being legal helps. 😉 Oh dear, did I just type that?? Well, either way, the blog rocks, with or without a ginge tag!

Nacho gets to play, Morata scores a brace, Kaka is captain hat trick, and Jesus saves. What a match!

Something went wrong in the locker room bec Sergo and Iker have switched styles. I wonder if it was a dare?

    • headbandsandheartbreak September 26, 2012 at 11:12 pm #

They were at home, so lord knows what the issue was. 😉 Don’t forget Captain Calleti!

Haha it DOES look like Sergio and Iker went through each other’s closets. They both look good though. I have a minor quibble with the Gucci belt (and we can’t see his pants so they could easily be some bejeweled atrocity) but otherwise Sergio looks so good here. Dressing yourself: you are doing it correctly!

This match was so much fun to watch. And not only because of the goals, although Kaka’s hattrick and Morata’s brace had me grinning for hours. It was a great line up – so many of our players that I want to see more of! And Kaka and Calleti as captains! I love it.

I said it yesterday on twitter, that this is how I want to see the first team play. Creativity and hunger. With Kaka and Ozil playing like they did yesterday.

I don’t think this was a miracle game for Kaka but I did read that Mou said it put names in his head. There was a particular run of play that reminded me of the goal against Ajax in Champions League that involved Kaka, Ozil, Benzema, Ramos, Marcelo, and Ronaldo (not in that order). We didn’t score off it this time, but it was pretty and I miss those plays.
