Prepare for an epic two part Bits & Bobs! First up the social media mad Brazilians who posted tons of pictures. Kaka, David Luiz, Neymar and Marcelo led the charge. Kaka seems to be really happy to be back on the squad and is celebrating by getting Neymar in a headlock. (Be scared, Neymar, be very scared!) Look how big and burly Kaka is next to him.
David Luiz posted that he’s going to be one of Chelsea’s BridgeKids Ambassadors dealing with kids. I think that is a GREAT position for him. He seems like a fun loving, charming young man. Kids will adore his goofiness.
October 12th is Children’s Day in Brazil so many of the guys posted shots of themselves as kids or of their own children. David Luiz posted great shots of him as a little boy as did Neymar, who also put up a shot of Davi Lucca. Marcelo and Clarice posted pictures of our beloved Enzo.
I can’t resist posting a shot of my favorite French Muppet Babies Remy Cabella and Benjamin Stambouli. They’re off with les Espoirs to play against Norway. Benji has some serious bedhead going on there.
Speaking of France, Mou gave the boys the weekend off so Calleti, Marta and Paula planned a trip to Paris. I wonder if they are headed to EuroDisney? Calleti posted a shot with Marta at the hospital with a very unhappy looking Marta the day before they left, but whatever the issue was, it obviously didn’t prevent them from heading off. However, Curro was left at home napping with his little dollie.
Also in Paris? US international (and currently player for Danish side Randers FC) Charlie Davies! Watishista Em found this shot of him doing the typical tourist joke shot thang with the Louvre. Cute!
Over in London, several of my faves were out and about. Arsenal’s Benik Afobe (currently on loan to Bolton) was out having lunch with his bud Jack Wilshere and Jack’s baby son Archie. I can’t believe how big Archie is getting!
Their teammate, my adored Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, scored his first big boy goal for the English National Team on Friday. GO OX! He posted this adorbs ‘going out’ shot on Twitter.
Besties El Pirata and Juan Mata were spending their free time together out having dinner. Lucky fan @misirlis posted this shot with the boys.
Onward to Part II of the Bits & Bobs!

Anyone else think the brazilian training kits look like pj’s?
And what’s up with all these freaking injuries?
marcelo looks like the leader of a brazilian boy band in some of those shots — adorable! 🙂
i am so conflicted when it comes to jack wilshere: a) he plays for arsenal b) he’s a child. but god, there is something. about. him …
I think in a world where Sam Taylor-Wood can marry Aaron Johnson, we can enjoy some Jack Wilshere from afar. No shame!
Ah, so true, wise woman! 🙂
love it! and thank you for justifying my shame! now i only have to be embarrassed that he plays for the enemy. 😉
@black widow: not a fan of the arsenal? Besides that, I agree Jack definitely has something about him. He might be small but he has this ‘man’ vibe about him
my ex-husband was a life-long arsenal supporter, so i just … can’t. and yet, i like/lust/love individual players. it’s all very conflicty.
lol. I’ve been there. That is my entire problem with Chelsea FC.
Enzoboy! That hamburger is as big as he is! 😀
apparently marcelo is out for 3 months :(!
it’s so nice to see kaka back on the brazil squad though.
I was wishing… hoping… praying for those Pirata-Juanin shots on twitter. I bet this is a weekly thing for them. Out with the photos, Juan and Esteban! We know you love your social media.
Me too. QPR’s having a crappy season, although Pirata is the best signing by far, imo. Hopefully having Juanito so close can help cheer Pirata up.
