Pirata & Arteta: He Is Trying To Break My Heart

26 Oct

I’m so sure of it. Why, may you ask? BECAUSE HE CUT ALL HIS HAIR OFF AND JOINED THE NO DAMN HEADBAND CLUB. For fucks sake. I just GIVE UP. They’re trying to tank us. I just know it.

Sigh. I’ll get over it. Someday. Maybe. Anyhow, Arsenal is playing QPR tomorrow which is going to torment me unduly along with the hair issue. Marca interviewed the duo at a pub.

I’ve been working so much I’ve been missing footy, this blog and everyone. But I go away for a few days and THIS is what happens?! I’m terrified what’s going to happen when I head off to my conference for a week. I mean, what’s next? Zlatan and Falcao getting matching pixie cuts? Pirata still looks completely delectable, no doubt, but I’m just in mourning. Too much hair change for me.

Update: Here’s a recent article in the Telegraph about our yummy pirate.

Is this his attempt to look tougher?
I hope he just lost a bet or wanted to try something and grows it back right away! It doesn’t suit him, makes him look balding and he looks even skinnier than before (especially in the last photo. I just want to cook him a nice meal there)

Arteta on the other hand, yummy as always. I’m looking forward to them on the same pitch tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing – “Get that boy a sammich, stat!!” He looks like he just escaped from a work camp or something.

    jury’s still out for me.
i’m inclined to say ‘NO NO NO!’ but perhaps a better angle during the game this weekend will push me over into ‘NOT OPTIMAL BUT MANAGEABLE.’

lady, i am so with you about being out of it – sounds like work for you has been as insane as it has for me. i just keep on telling myself, ’11 more days, 11 more days.’ but right now, that seems like a lifetime. ugh.

I’ve got until November 14 until my personal hell is over. Can’t wait. I’m sick of election stuff so I can’t imagine how you feel. AND THEN PIRATA HAD TO GO AND DO THIS. Like one more baller needs to walk away from the headband?! I’m taking this straight up personal. Here I am in the Fall of my discontent and then they all feel the need for haircuts? Yeah, it’s personal. 😉 At least it will grow back. Damn well better. xo

WAAAAHHHHH!!!! No me gusta!!! This hipster faux-hawk thing is so not working for me. All that lovely curly goodness is gone. I think perhaps I’m so upset because that is totally the type of hair that I would want for myself, but guys who are naturally gifted with it never appreciate it enough 😦

But I’m liking that he’s hanging out with Mikel Arteta though. Pirata’s probably thinking “He’s not Xabi, but hey, he’s one of his oldest friends so he’ll have to do here in London!” Just kidding! Mikel’s plenty good enough on his own. But they sure do make them pretty in Donostia don’t they?

    WHA? Why Esteban?!?

Actually, I have a feeling I’ll come around to this. But still. Sigh.

    Oh, no! Don’t like it!
First iker, then mesut, sami, fernando, varane…. now Pirata – the list is endless
Wonder if Sergio was aware of the great impact he was going to have…. he has started a revolution against headbands – not good!

To Lozil – hope the 14th will come sooner rather than later… hang in there… looks like a tight race between the candidates

I kind of liked him thugging it up on the pitch this morning. The hair suited the attitude.

oh my god, no. it doesn’t even look like him any more! 😦 ugh. no me gusta. 😦 that said, i was delighted to see him get so much field time in today’s match! at least QPR are putting him to good use.

I just chances my pause screen! The curls are a big part of his charm!! The hair cutting madness has to end, like right now!!!!!!!!

I would’ve liked it better if he’d just buzz all of it off. Don’t like the fauxhawk. I think his handsome face still shines through though.

I didn’t see that there was a QPR game this morning.
