No Rest For Mou & His Boys, LFP Awards, and Look Who’s Tweeting!

“Hello, Black Beauty.”

Let’s pause on the International Duty shizz, to take a moment to rejoice in the fact that SAMIIIII IS BAAAACK and BENZZZZ IS MAKING PROGRESS!!! With so many of our boys hit by injuries, it’s very good news when they start to make their way back to us. Who do we have left on the injured list? Marcelo, Ozi, Pipa, Benz, & Cris? Yeah…I probably shouldn’t have listed them out, I’m trying to hold on to the happy!  But, happy news it is for Sami, because he trained at the same pace as the rest of the team in preparation for Saturday’s match against Bilbao. Go on & do your healthy thang, boy!

Whenever Mou laughs during training, I always imagine someone has tripped & gone down. He just looks like one of those annoying people who can’t help but laugh when someone hurts themselves….I know because I’m one of those people & like I said, we can’t help it!

Poor Benz looks so Emo training all by his lonesome, he was restricted to light ball work on the sidelines. We need him back & healthy asap, with both him & Pipa out, we’re severely booty deprived. I like my matches with an equal ratio of goals to booty shots, thank you very much.

A triple WOOT goes out to three of our hubba bubbas for winning awards from the Professional Football League! The winners of the awards were voted by last seasons’ coaches.

“Thanks to all the coaches for putting their trust in me. They are the people who best understand football, and I hope to do it again in the future. This award is also a credit to my team-mates in a season that was pretty good at both an individual and collective level.”

San Iker won the Best Goalkeeper award, beating out Victor Valdes of Barca & Roberto of Zaragoza.

“I would like to thank you for the prize and the votes of the coaches. I feel very proud that my work has been recognized. This trophy is something I shall never forget.”

Sergio won the Best Defender Award, beating out Mascherano of Barca & Javi Martinez of Athletic. FYI these awards are for last seasons efforts, when Javi Martinez was still an Athletic player.

“I am very happy and proud to receive this award. My work and that of my team-mates is seen to be rewarded with trophies of this kind.”

And Mr. Perfecion won the Best Midfielder award, beating out Busquets of Barca & Benat of Betis.

And if y’all enjoy Marcelo’s Instagram page, he’s just took the fun & adorable one step further. He’s on twitter now and he’s tweeting in three different languages, at least he did for his first tweet. We already know he’s active in posting adorable pics, let’s see if he’ll get into fan replies & retweets…who’s gonna try for one?

EEEEEE! That smile! Welcome to Twitter, Marcelo, we’ve been waiting for you!

marcelo on twitter is fantastic news, indeed! 🙂 i think it’s truly marvellous when the boys tweet or post or interact in multiple languages (and it’s very much appreciated, too). here’s hoping he tweets about mini sunshine enzo a lot!

felicidades to iker, xabi and sese on their awards! very well deserved, all around. 🙂 barca may be in first place this season (so far), but iker has let in the least number of goals of all goalies, according to the latest la liga table from sunday.

i’m also so pleased to see sami back in action (and coentrao), and benz on the mend. i hope CR7’s injury isn’t that serious — concussions are not to be trifled with. here’s hoping ozi and pipa will be back in action soon, too. i doubt we’ll see marcelo on the field til the new year. 😦 that’s the great thing about international break, though — they all get their rest without missing any league matches, so there’s no actual impact to the team/standings. now if all our other boys can return from the break uninjured as well, it will be a miracle!

was it raining or it is Sergios jacket with markings (for lack of a better word i can come up with right now)?

Yeah I noticed that too; I’m hoping for rain drops, but knowing Sergio its probably a deliberate “style” choice. LOL

Nobody else had rain drops…but neither did Xabi or Iker still have their coat on.

Ah, they actually are rain drops! I don’t know if that’s a good or bad realization though, since it’s entertaining when Sergio discovers new “patterns” 😛 But I just realized that these awards must have been given out on Audi Day, all three of them are wearing the same outfit & it was raining that day.

If it indeed was raining, I’m going to have to assume that his jacket shrunk because of this..

It looks to me like those little “pills” that you get on sweaters.

Everything’s a little off with him in those pics, isn’t it? His hair is a little too poofy, his jacket is a little too tight and what is it made out of? It looks like a sweatshirt material blazer? I do like the scarf…

I happily admit that I zoomed Xabi’s pic and stared at it for a bit. How is any man so good looking?!! It’s not fair!
