UPDATED: An Early Christmas Present: Sergio Speaking English!

I had posted the Spanish version of this Christmas greeting last week, but the wonderful pinpanpam sent me the English version! Whoooooo! GO SERGIO!

Updated: The video may now be set to private, but luckily Marca grabbed it first! Hooray!

    i should not be laughing because my spanish isn’t GREAT. i just can’t help it when he and iker try to speak english, it’s so endearing. xabi too. not great on the english.

    his face is great. he is concentrating SO HARD.

    But now i’m imagining him and Özil trying to speak in English to each other, oh to be a fly on a wall to hear that conversation 😀

      LOL, right? I remember some quote where he was like “Mesut speaks English, so we understand each other perfectly.” I had my doubts about that, which I think this video confirms. Maybe what he meant to say was “Mesut speaks the language of love, so we understand each other perfectly.”

    I had to watch it a few times because I kept getting distracted by how hard he was focusing [and also by how hot he looks in a suit]. Although I adore the Mesut & Sergio bromance, I was imagining him practicing with Fernando (via late night Skype or phone calls) because Nando speaks English fairly well [and because we need more Sernando moments].

    I have literally been waiting years to hear him speak in English (other than Iyam Serheeo Ramo, Real Madrid playher, of course). THIS IS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! Short of actual Sergio, this is the best Chrismukkah gift a girl could get.

    AW! You don’t know how much I needed that smile this morning.
    He’s absolutely adorable (among other things) in this video. You can tell he’s used to speaking English a little bit but he’s focused so hard on enunciating the H words so hard. And you can definitely tell he’s reading from a card which would screw anybody up.

    Just too cute for words! He definitely speaks with an andalusian accent, he always leaves out the s at the end of a word.
    I’m wondering how many takes they needed to get this one as the best shot …

    That’s actually a really brave thing to do, record a video you know people will see millions of times when you’re still so uncomfortable in a new language! And to me it’s just epicly adorable, whenever you wanna talk english sergio, just give me a call.
    Btw, did any of you check the youtube comments on that video!? People can be so harsh and insensitive, especially over the internet…
