Sadly, even though the Man in Black retweeted this and said it was Iker’s account, it’s a fake (as per RM’s social media manager). Bummer. Anyhow, he did post some holiday snaps and guess where he is? London!
He did all the touristy things (adorbs), rode the Tube and took in the Boxing Day match of QPR v. West Brom! Aw! And Pirata sat on the bench. Booooo!
He also posted a BBVA video about an initiative called “Your solidarity is worth twice” (sorry for my bad Google translation) that he supports along with Andres Iniesta.

It is so cute that he went to London. I giggled when I saw he’d been at QPR v West Brom. And how on earth did he get away with riding the tube?! Did people not recognize him?!
Or sightseeing at Buckingham Palace! People were probably like “That CAN’T be Iker Casillas sitting next to me on the Tube, it just can’t.” 🙂
I feel like in certain cities, NY and London being prime examples, celebrities ride the subway/tube all the time, and people usually leave them alone. Anyway, I think it’s adorable that he did touristy things, and very sweet of him to go to a QPR match. It’s such a shame Pirata didn’t actually play, though. (And seriously what is with that? Wasn’t the point of him leaving Madrid to go to a club where he wouldn’t get benched? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE QPR?)

i wonder y he went to watch a QPR match (no offence to QPR fans) , instead of like idk … a chelsea match ( i’m being biased n im not even ashamed of it) but seriously (my love 4 chelsea aside) y not go to like ManU match or SOMETHING ? i guessing he went to match to support granero .

keep in mind, too, that man utd is all the way up in manchester, which is not exactly around the corner from london. i suspect he was rather pressed for time as they only had a week off and he wasn’t in london for the whole time. it also depends on match schedules (away vs home, etc.), plus, as lozil said, why not go and support pirata? i thought that was a really sweet thing for him to do — what a shame pirata was benched. 😦
my favourite person on earth in my favourite city on earth. good god, if i were walking around london and saw him, i’d think christmas, my birthday, new year’s and the end of the world had all happened at once and would probably spontaneously implode.
