La Roja Trainin’, Chattin’, and DAMN They Look Fine!

5 Feb

It may be a freezing February for some of us, but it ain’t for La Roja! They’re breaking out the shorts and short shorts for some…I’m looking at you Puyi. So you’re about to reach 100 matches & you want to show off a little more leg? I like, nay love, the idea of celebrating milestone matches with hiked up training gear. It makes me think of someone who is only two matches away from their 100th cap. Yep, Sergio. Hello, opportunities for even more nekkie! Wawaweewa.

We love this too! *pinch* *smack* *never letting go*

A man in knee highs, surprisingly, does it for me.

And here comes the portion of this post where you can see Sergio, with balls in his face. Soccer balls. What did you think I meant?

An0ther day, another chat with the press. VdB spoke about Wednesday’s match, Puyol’s milestone, and doping, while Presser Pretties Negredo & Mario Suarez chimed in with their thoughts.

From & RFEF.

On playing the Uruguay friendly in Qatar – “The policy of the Football Association [RFEF] is playing all over the world and promoting football, especially in countries that have a lesser tradition with the game. We are fully justified being here because they will host the 2022 World Cup. I came here 20 years ago for the Youth World Cup and I’ve seen myself how the country has changed. Qatar is really emerging as a world power now.”

On the Uruguay team – “It is a friendly that I like. They reached the semi-finals of the last World Cup, so it’s going to be a good opportunity to test ourselves against a great team. Hopefully Spain with have the chance to show why they are the World & European Champions, and rise to the occasion. Uruguay has an organized team, that play with intensity. Their forwards are men who have a lot of speed and do not hide their desire to make goals. Their defensive game organization and the output is the strongest.”

“Regarding Puyol, I am delighted for him that he will reach his 100th game for Spain. He is a player who has set an example for everyone, both on and off the pitch.”

“I am a Real Madrid fan, I’ve never hidden that. But Barcelona have a lot of representation in this team because of what they are doing at club level.”

On Raul’s visit to the team –  “It was a nice visit. He has the esteem of all, we have given a shirt for each of his children. He’s happy in Qatar and for us it was an honor to visit.”

On doping – “I have nothing to add on doping. I have never seen a player do it, and I don’t think I will in the future. Maybe I’m naive, but my eyes have not seen anything. This is a topic I’d prefer to ignore.”

On a sidenote, why don’t we set up a little Sex Beard challenge? Today’s Presser Pretties both have one, so let’s take a poll of who wins the beard off. I love me some Negredo, like nobody’s business, but Mario Suarez wins this one for me. What do y’all think?

“I never thought it was not possible to return. It’s hard to return and my only goal is to keep doing the right things to make the coach see he can trust me anytime.”

On Wednesday’s rivals – “Their forwards are known worldwide, they have done things right where they have been, with a good run of form, different but each very good. I’m not one to describe, but we know how they play. They’re world class forwards.”

Upon arriving in Qatar – “I was delighted, everything I’ve seen, I think for the selection it’s an honor to get to Qatar, where great teams have played. We’ll enjoy it and have fun.”

On those who are absent – “There are always players who have performed at other times and have done well. Knowing the quality of those missing, we’re here to do our best.”

Regarding Puyol – “He’s a very important player for his team & the selection and it’s a milestone for him, if he can do it, it will be an important day. Many people have not succeeded and he could after all of his injuries.”

On Raul – “I knew him when he played for Real Madrid and is an honor that has been visiting us in the selection.”

Mario Suarez:

On his arrival with the NT – “It is an honor and a dream. Entering the Selection is special. Things should be done right. The coach chose to count on me and I’m happy to represent Atletico, which is a club that deserves to be here. “

On the possibility of reaching 100 games – “I want to congratulate him on the hundred games and I hope there are many more. He’s a great player and deserves to reach that figure.”

On the competition in the Midfield – “The missing players are important for the selection, but I’m grateful to coach, and will work with more enthusiasm and excitement. Being in that locker room is huge for a player and I’ll keep fighting to come more often. “

The boys are always getting gifts from somebody aren’t they? This time it looks like they’re repping BVLGARI and the dudes came away with loot! The boys looked excited about that, I’m not sure why the woman they posed with doesn’t look equally (if not more) excited to be surrounded by all that woof. She should be ecstatic, so something must be very wrong..

“I tell you ze time….es time to take mi shirt off.”

And because of this exchange, I went back to the pics and noticed that Santi Cazorla’s shoelaces were untied.

Isn’t that the same Mario Suarez that is dating Malena Costa now? I bet there’s some tension between him and Puyol…

when faced with a hard choice, my mom always said pick your first instinct. so, suarez. but i felt sad making any decision. give me both!

i interpreted sergio’s face as,”i’m going to send my bulgari gift to london with mata so he can give it to nando for me.” i like to think they share nando in a good natured way.
