Well, now that the boys are back to work, guess I have to get with the program too! The boys got back to training in preparation for Sunday’s match against Celta. The big news was Morata’s shaven head. I think he looks adorable and when he said yesterday that he shaved it off because he promised the ninos at the children’s hospital he would, it made him even more beautiful in my eyes. Good for you, Alvaro. He posted some pictures on Twitter and his teammates couldn’t resist petting him.
And I’m apologizing in advance for the next picture. Sorry, Shigs!
Arbeloa spent the afternoon in the Santiago Bernabeu Adidas shop signing autographs and posing with lucky fans.
The news has come out that Marcelo is being fined €6,000 for driving without a license. It was revoked because he had too many points on it. This comes on the heels of Karim being caught speeding AGAIN. He goes to court for that March 26. I wish he would just sit home and take selfies. It’s a much better use of his time. This might not seem like a big deal, but both men could conceivably be sentenced to time in jail for their offenses. I’m guessing that they will be fined, get community service, etc. but I hope they (finally) learn their lesson. Not good, gentlemen.
Mou gave another interview to ITV Sport and the mothership had a small excerpt.
Mourinho: “I saw Maradona a couple times and I’ve never seen Pelé, but Cristiano is the best”
“Without the team he isn’t anything, but the team without him isn’t the same,” the Real Madrid coach affirmed in an ITV Sport interview
Recognizing merit and praising where praise is due. José Mourinho, Real Madrid’s coach, in statements to ITV Sport, said that, to him, “Cristiano is the best in the world. I saw Maradona a couple times and I’ve never seen Pelé, but Cristiano is incredible. This man is the best. But even he can’t win on his own. The key is in the team.”
Mourinho insisted on emphasizing the importance of teamwork: “We never say that Cristiano is responsible when we lose a game, and we can’t think that he is the only one who wins it. Without the team he isn’t anything, but the team without him isn’t the same.” To conclude, the coach, aware of the impact it has when you return to a stadium that has been your home, had this to say about Cristiano’s return to Old Trafford: “It wasn’t easy for him psychologically. I went back to Stamford Bridge too, and it wasn’t easy. I went back to Oporto and it wasn’t easy. Someday I will return to San Siro to play against Inter and it won’t be easy. Some day I will come back to Bernabéu to play against Real Madrid and it won’t be easy.”
Speaking of Cristiano, check out this adorable picture of him with his boy. Too cute. Cris Jr. is getting so big!
My good bud watishisto PLL (who recently moved to the Philippines) sent me this great picture. Wouldn’t we all like a bite of Chori? (::cough:: said Arbeloa & Pipita::cough::)
And finally, this picture came via GFSports. Absolutely no commentary needed, the captions write themselves!
PS If Pierlugi Collina said Nani’s actions deserved a straight red, then I am certainly not qualified to disagree.
– Lozil
You are so not sorry, Lozil.
Sigh. You’re right. ::hangs head::
More like I’m not sorry 😉
i love that everyone took a turn admiring and feeling bambi’s head. i had the same shock when i saw the picture and then my heart melted when he said it was for sick children. like i can handle him being more adorable than he already is.
cris junior is going to be so tall! and look how happy he is! he’s skipping!
There’s been some hand wringing about it, but I think Morata’s haircut really suits him. The fact that he did it in solidarity with hospitalized kids is so incredibly sweet.
Man, Cris Jr is such a little munchkin! Those cheeks!
Damn lucky fans who got to meet Arbeloa. I sort of met him once (took a photo of him with some fans before a Euro qualifier a few years back) and he was beautiful to behold. And really nice, but I was too in awe of his hotness to form a coherent sentence. Sigh…
Yeah, I don’t understand the hand wringing. It will grow and it’s not like he ever wore a headband, which is the really important criteria when rating hair cuts! 😉
Exactly – headbands are what matters!
i’m fairly sure i would turn into a screaming teen girl in his presence.
My mouth got all dry and I was sort of able to choke out “una foto por favor.” It was not my finest moment.
Morata’s haircut makes me think of my brother and his friends after their first summer at West Point. 🙂 I think it rocks that he did it for the kids, too. That’s class.
If our boys can’t handle those cars responsibly, I’d be happy to confiscate them. Just saying.
The cars or the boys? 😉
Since the boys are millionaires, they can well afford to hire a driver so they can rest or tweet while in the car, and also help the economy by creating a job and hiring someone who needs to feed a family.
But of course, what good is a sports car if you can’t drive it fast?
Yes. 🙂
Love the reason why Morata shaved his head – really cool and sweet of him.
Seeing Cris and his Mini-me always makes me smile. Jr is so happy and adorable. But boy, the kid is tall – he turns 3 this year, right? What is Cris feeding him ? Oh wait, probably something from his vegetable garden 😉
That was funny! LOL!
I love that Junior is skipping while holding Papa’s hand!
I have just decided to call Papa and son: CR and JR.
Well, at least the trip to Romania brought us that little gem. Now all the Blues have to do is go to Old Trafford and beat a United side that feels hard done by at the hands of a ref we’re none too fond of either. Why can’t the boys all just play nice and take funny pictures for us fans to enjoy??
Chori has a sweet long body – damn! Why haven’t I noticed this before?!
Chori is delish and check out his dreamy eyes!
I think Mou gonna have to get the guys together and be like,Xabi, Iker, Kaká and Diego these are the following teammates you’re going to have to pick up to bring to practice, and on game day. Lol
Marcelo and Benz are at least only half as stupid as Nicklas Bendtner! I predict he has completely ruined what little there was left of his carrier as an active professionel footballer. He was caught driving under the influence of alcohol, 1,75 was messured and the allowed amount in Denmark is 0,5…. His English licence had expired in September last year, AND he was driving in the opposite direction.
He didn’t feel too drunk to drive, and he didn’t know his licence had expired. He doesn’t have a Danish licence.
What the consequense will be in Juve is uncertain, but he has been fined 842,000 Danish Kroner, which is about 145,000 $!
And he cannot drive or optain a new licence for 3 years!
It’s all a big mess!!!
Oh! Bendtner has also been removed from the Danish national team, where he cannot play for 6 months.
Tevez is also just arrested and bailed for driving while disqualified. Tsk tsk!
It’s like they think they’re untouchable, because they’re footballers making millions. And the rules in society only apply to us meer mortals, not football players!
true, but it’s only 4 games that he’s going to miss and he was already going to miss 2 out of the 4 games due to injury.
However, I doubt that this big mess he has created taught him anything, he’s not going to change his behavior – but I’ve never been a Bendtner fan – on the contrary. He’s bit too arrogant for my liking. Don’t get me wrong: I don’t mind Cris being arrogant on the pitch (actually find it rather sexy) but he scores at least 20 goals each season as winger and has stayed on top for nearly 5 years and won quite a few trophies personally and with ManU and Real; whereas Bendtner – well he doesn’t even have a regular place in the line-up at any of his clubs.
But hey, maybe that’s just me being too harsh?!?
I’m with you. He’s just a big arrogant idiot. All he does is hit clubs and drive drunk. He is injured a lot, and not worth all the money he makes. He ruined his carrier with that move. I believe he should pay a fine for being plain stupid. No one is that big of an idiot! Apparently he is.
Yeah, Bendtner has certainly made a mess of his life and career, hasn’t he?
I wonder what Juve and Arsenal will do! It can’t be good for either clubs to have a player sending that message to young fans!
