After staying up till 2 AM working on the Tishies results post, I woke up to this and just stared at it, lost in happy reveries for over an hour. Sergio shared the piccy with this tweet after which the Internet exploded from the combination of cuteness and pervy thoughts. Fan fic writers, get to work!
So we all know that Mesut and Sergio have been all up on Tumblr due to the pics they’ve shared from there. Is it really such a leap to think Sese may have discovered the cult of Sernando and slash fic (because this picture is obviously to torture the fan girls)? Reminds me of the hilarious meta!fic about that very subject with La Roja that my beloved kfunk22 wrote last June as a graduation prezzie for me. If you haven’t ever read it, feedback greatly appreciated is hilarious for anyone who knows the ways of fandom and the Spanish National Team. If these are not your worlds, it will be more than slightly confusing and possibly cause you to have some sort of breakdown/epiphany. So consider that a warning – it’s RPF/RPS. If you don’t know what that is, please look it up in the HB & HB Glossary. i am in a SUPER stressful time at work, and i am not even going to lie. this makes me so, so, so, so happy.
i saw some pics of sergio and pilar walking and hugging the other day and i couldn’t figure out why i found it so bizarre. it’s because i’m not used to seeing him affectionate with women. isn’t that terrible? wait, no it’s not.
Yeah, he does seem to be more comfortable being super PDA with Nando, Mesut, Calleti, Iker, Cris, Kaka etc etc etc than he has with any of his girlfriends. Also, the silly petty part of me was glad to note that there were no public birthday messages for Pilar a few days back. But for Nando, he makes out with a giant photo.
i will never forget when they both posted tumblr collages to each other on twitter. that’s more PDA than mandy and pilar get combined.
I cling to this and try not to imagine the private displays of affection that go on.
But why would you NOT want to imagine?! 🙂
Are we talking about what Sergio and Mesut do in their private time, or what Sergio and Pilar do in their private time? Because there’s quite a difference between those two scenarios.

i’d be lying if i said i wasn’t jealous of mandy and pilar. they’re getting that and i’m not. but a girl can dream.
I know it’s silly and they (well, really only Sergio for me, I’m not jealous of anybody else’s WAG) have to date somebody and since I’m not an actress/model/Miss Spain my chances are slim. But still! It is super rude of them to date people who are not us 🙂

I’m not a fanfic person but I did read up to Xavi talking about “real football” in his sleep and am 110% convinced this is a true story.
Well, there’s a twist at the end that would have you rolling on the floor. Fanfic person or not, I recommend reading for that alone. 😉
PS The fic is esp. golden for Xavi critiquing the sex scenes in fanfic technically (he’s of course a purist) and poor put upon prudish Iker having a hilarious meltdown.
I read through and LOVED Xavi’s technical critiques. It was the most I’ve liked Xavi since…well it was the only time I have ever like Xavi 🙂 And the twist ending was especially hilarious.
I know, right? This is the other time that I really loved Xavi. He’s best as a cartoon character1

Sorry, just lurking, but I wanted to add my comment too. I think Sernando is the best bromance there is, without a doubt! None of the other ones come close. For starters it’s been going on for ages, and then the proof is also in that pic – Sergio is thinking of his mate even when he’s not around. A sign of true love. Sigh, lol. Love your site.

When I saw this pic in the morning, the first thing I did was visit this blog but this post wasn’t up yet so I couldn’t share my excitement at the time. Anyways, I woke up pretty early to get ready for work [since the area manager was visiting today] and everything was going smoothly until Sergio tweeted this pic. I spent so long drooling and fantasizing that I was almost late for work.
That was freaking hilarious!! I love Iker!
School life has kept me away from this blog for far too long (and I’ve missed it so much!) but it seems like I’ve come back at the perfect moment… I don’t think I was functional for half the day yesterday after first seeing the tweet!
There are a couple of things I’ve been wondering: Who took the picture for him and how much they laughed at him while doing it. And I wonder when Sergio (and Fernando at this point I’m sure) found out about the Sernando fandom because this is totally tailored to us!
And I’ve read that La Roja fic and it’s hilarious!! Definitely one of the best ones out there!
