Mesut! I’m on my way, boo! Wait for me!

But, from what I understand… Mesut and Sami have a league game to play on the 1st of June, as does anyone involved in the Pokal Cup (i.e. Bayern Munich), as well as EPL players who can’t travel for some other obscure reason. I’m hopeful my Dortmund boys will be able to make it, but I’m not 100% certain. So… who’s left? I swear they did this just to spite me!

Ah buggery fuck! We do have the final match of the season that weekend. ARGH! Shit, the season was over much earlier last year, wasn’t it?

    • justpitchy March 21, 2013 at 10:15 pm #

I know! I don’t think they played into June last year. I’m telling you, when I first learned they were coming to DC I was floating on cloud 9! And then when I learned the timing I fell into a pit of despair. 😦 Do you think they’d be released early or is that just me making ideas up in my head?

      • headbandsandheartbreak March 21, 2013 at 10:20 pm #

I doubt they’ll release them early. BAH HUMBUG! 😦

Leagues only played into early May last year. The season started late this year because of Euros. Just like it started late in 2010 after World Cup

Ah, good point. Were the Euros only this past summer? It feels like ages ago.

Doesn’t it?! Yet for some reason I feel like World Cup can’t be next year….

It is super disappointing that Mesut and Sami won’t be there, but it would be worth it for me just for Clint. Plus Hummels and a chance to see the Gotze/Reus bromance in action. Anybody have one of those early promo codes and feels like sharing?

there’s plenty of quality mannschaft to be seen without sami and mesut, but it’d be a lot cooler if they were there… i haven’t seen boca play live, so i’d love that.

      • CinematiqueChic March 22, 2013 at 11:53 am #

Yeah, I think it’ll just be a good match. Will Boca be there? What’s going on with him? I read Clint got upgraded to USMNT captain so I assumed Boca must be injured but I haven’t seen any news.

        • Mehreh March 22, 2013 at 12:22 pm #

boca made a statement that he respects the coach’s decision not to call him up. he’s not injured, he’s just not in form anymore. he’s 33, it’s nearing *sniff* a time where *sniff* he might *sniff* not play anymore. *sniff* and that means he won’t be naked, covered in mud in the ESPN body issue anymore.

good for clint, he’s a strong player. but i want boca.

It never even OCCURRED to me that he just didn’t get called up – he’s Captain America! But maybe that’s just for the qualifiers. We could still get him for friendlies.
