Don’t Believe The Shite

30 Mar

Woman in the background:  “Did you read what AS said? Iker & Mou hate each other!”

So AS started their crap again today. They posted an article with the blaring headline “Iker’s omission for Zaragoza confirms stand-off with Mou” Sigh. Okay, whatever.

Then they followed it up with a piece talking about how 55% of people they surveyed said that it was the right choice to exclude Iker. WTF, AS? Dude has just barely gotten back to training. It’s been 12 days. I think it was a wise decision to let him get 100% match fit.

Florentino_Pýrez_y_Mourinho (2)Meanwhile, RM practiced their typical overstatement by posting pics of Mou and Flo Peezy being all BFF just to show nothing’s wrong (this usually has the opposite effect on perception, you guys).

Florentino_Pýrez_y_Mourinho (1)You may or may not have heard about the March for Mou that many of the penas are planning on April 6th before the game against Levante. AS is reporting that Mou appreciates the effort but is against the march. Now, that I believe. The article says that he thinks it will distract players and fans from focusing on the Champions League. Fair enough.

I was saying this morning to watishista IsraQM on Twitter that I’m amazed that people still believe the crap that the Spanish media spews about unrest in the club. We were also imagining the bitching that the different factions would indulge in via social media. Add the Big Name Fans to the mix and all hell breaks loose.  Do. Not. Want. The drama that swirls around this team is such a drag. Anyhow, I’ve had my say on the BNFs and their shit stirring in this post (at the end) so no need to go through that again. As the title of this post says ‘don’t believe the shite.’

Off to get some lunch before the match. HALA MADRID!

If Pasta Sauce would keep her big fat trap shut, we wouldn’t even have to deal with this crap! Why Iker stays with her, IDK!

      That’s a bit harsh .

I’m not going to lie. As much as I want Iker back in the lineup, Diego Lopez has been phenomenal for us and I would find it incredibly unfair if Mourinho just suddenly pulled him out of goal to put Iker in.

As for “Pasta Sauce”…. We would be dealing with this whether she was with Iker or not. The Spanish media are brutal and there are more people saying things than just Sara. Iker stays with her because of reasons that we don’t know. He stays with her because he knows her. And they are, more than likely, two peas in a pod… Just sayin’

Don’t believe anything you read. At least, I don’t… Iker would probably be the first one to admit that he’s not ready if you asked him. He will be back when he’s ready, no pressure. When you’re on top there’s envy that comes along with the negative need to knock you off course. That’s where this club, our manager, and our players are. Hala Madrid! Hala Mou! Hala San Iker!

This video always cheer me up every time I watch it (LMAO) and I hope it does you too. Happy Easter!

Iker is a Real Madrid icon. I love him and want the captain back on the pitch too. But fair due must be given to Diego because he’s been phenomenal. While saying that Iker has to earn his starting position is pretty harsh, tossing Diego aside entirely just because Iker is fit again would be too. (Meanwhile poor Adan’s all, “WTF mofos! What about me?!”)

This is so tiresome. Slow news day in Madrid, perhaps? If Iker had been included, the story would’ve been that Mou is stupid and/or crazy because it’s obviously too soon.

Been running into crazy stories about BNFs everywhere lately, in sports and especially in entertainment. I’ve never been one for policing fandoms, but damn, some of these people need to sit their asses back down. I suppose it’s too optimistic to hope that if we ignore them, they’ll just eventually lose following and go away?
