The Last Away Match of The Season

29 May

Real Sociedad de Futbol v Real Madrid CF - La Liga

Bum, bum, bum, it’s all about the bum and when that bum scores, it’s even better. Yep, it was Pipa that led the scoring against Sociedad, way to go! In the end, we didn’t get the win, but we did see a lot of goals. The home team equaled us, 3 for 3, with a late winner from Xabi Prieto (damn him!) and we ended our last away match of the season with a draw.

Most of our starters were not called up for the match, so we got to see a completely new version of the starting lineup. Peeps like Carvalho, Albiol, & Kaka, got a rare start and peeps like Cristiano & Xabi filled the rare spectators role.

Cristiano watched all by his lonesome, while Xabi had little Jon to watch with.

I’m going to miss seeing this. *breaks down*

Pipa definitely knows how to get things started. Who knew such a bottom heavy creature could be so speedy? Six minutes in, opening goal scored, check.

Going into the match, Real Sociedad had more to gain by winning, by winning their last two matches of the season they’d be in a good position to secure a spot in the Champions League, so they were keen on pressing hard on us. They almost immediately equalized, after the opener, but DLo had the teams back, giving it all in between the posts. Sociedad’s men continued trying for a goal, but Callejon beat them to it & secured the second goal for his side, by way of a Kaka assist in the 57th minute.

The game turned around, in favor of Real Sociedad, in the 63rd minute when Sami as penalized for a handball. A penalty was awarded to the home team & Xabi Prieto put it away, netting his side’s first goal. Shortly after their first, came their second goal, scored by Griezmann. Things were tied, 2 to 2, in the 78th minute until Sami, up & broke the tie two minutes later. Our third goal was all German team work, Ozi served up the assist for his baby boo!

In the remaining minutes of the match, Real Sociedad’s men really fought for another goal and in the very end succeeded. Xabi Prieto saved his side, once again, with the 93rd minute equalizer. Damn, it would have been nice to finish our season with two last wins, but I’ll take this goalful draw, it wasn’t bad. I still want one last win, though! Make it happen, boys!

HALA MADRID!!!

Hahaha! I’m going to make that my mantra during transfer season, with a slight lyric change – Coz all I want next season is a big booty ho!
