Now here’s a guy who could make a workout vid that wouldn’t make me laugh! (Still love you Benz xo) The players keep talking about the heat at practice and in the locker room, during their pressers, I’m surprised more of the boys didn’t get nekkid. Where’s the Magic Mike Nando segment of the training session?? What ever happened to shirts vs skins? I tell ya, HB&HB needs to manage our own team, we’d make sure y’all would see allllll you’ve ever wanted to see! 😉

First up is training, the first session was held yesterday & the boys got down to it again today. Of course, they looked mighty fine as always!

There’s never a time that La Roja isn’t swarmed by admirers and they’re always so good about posing with & signing things for their fans. A good portion of the fans at today’s training were there for Nando, it makes me happy to see him surrounded by peeps who lurve him.

Since I didn’t get the chance to post it yesterday, here’s Javi Martinez & Cesar Azpilicueta’s presser, followed by today’s.

Javi:

“When I wasn’t called up it was tough, but I marked it as a goal and that made me better. Now I am very happy to see these players again and to try to win the Confederations Cup tournament.”

Speaking about VdB – “The boss is a good person, and gives us a lot of freedom, it is essential when we spend so much time together, both on and off the field.”

Cesar:

On the favorites for the tournament – “I have several colleagues in my team and they tell me theirs is a young team but they’re also the host: Brazil always is Brazil.”

On more and more Spaniards playing in other leagues – “For a player to leave, it’s very good because it’s another learning, but the league is very strong and being outside or inside, there are many levels.”

Speaking about VdB – “I haven’t been called up as many times as Javi, but it is true that freedom is fundamental to the way of the coach.”

On the pressure to win the team’s only missing title – “It is true that this team has made history, but this group still hungry.”

Today’s Presser- David Silva & Nacho Monreal

Nacho:

“This selection is made of people who never tire of winning. On a personal level I’ve never played with an official tournament selection and you can imagine the dream is is for me.”

“Coming to Miami is another opportunity, we’ll play two games that are going to come in handy for the tournament and the city is beautiful of course, but yes it’s a little hot during training.”   Really? Tell us more, Nacho!

David:

“Haiti has very fast players, we have been seeing in the videos, they’re fast to counter emerging and what we practiced will come in handy for  when the teams close behind us. ”

On how the NT plays – “Every game is a different story, you have to adapt because every time one thing may work better one way or another, in the final of Euro we played without a number 9 and scored four goals. The question is transforming occasions with a number 9 fixed or not, the two styles are going well. ”

On Spaniards moving to other leagues – “In the end it’s like anywhere else, the country’s situation makes many people go to work outside of Spain and football is the same.”

Aww… Look At Sergio Holding Jesus In The Golf Cart. So Protective.

I just noticed that. Is Jesus really sitting on Sergio’s lap? Their bromance is too much.

And he only did that ONCE the whole two days. this shot was done by the press on the opposite side of the field from the rest of us….I saw him lift up the shirt, but my camera wasn’t ready to shoot, and I would never have gotten a close up…..i will just enjoy the fruit of the media’s labors above…..*sigh*

Silly Sergio. Being in Miami in June is the PERFECT excuse to always be shirtless. (Well, and also looking like Sergio).

I dont know if you have picked up on it, but Chelsea fans call Cesar “Dave” cos when he signed no one (and a lot of people still cant) stay his name, so it was decided that he would be called Dave, and Gigi (chelsea Tv presenter) asked him if he minded and he said it was fine, so there is a song about it, he comes over as really lovely and a very nice lad
