La Roja Nerds Out Over The NBA & Some Other News

7 Jun

You know the boys were super excited for Game 1 of the NBA finals, they couldn’t stop tweeting about it! Some were so excited they confused San Antonio with San Fransciso….ehem Sergio..but that’s ok, because in their excitement they shared a lot of really cute pictures. It’s not everyday we get to see the fan-girlees, fan-girl over something else!

You know, when we saw that the list for the Confederations Cup included both Sergio and Fernando, I think we were expecting a little more Sernando! Can someone explain to me why these two aren’t sitting together, kiss cam-ing it up?? Jeez, is a little bromance too much to ask for?

You gotta love Iker’s face in these pics, he’s having a *San Banana meets…banana?* moment.

Cue even more fan-girling, Sergio & Arbeloa got to meet Alonzo Mourning & Tim Hardaway. I love seeing the boys like this!

This morning, Juan Mata got together with Kay Murray for an interview with beIN Sports. Kay tweeted theses pictures of the Sexy Care Bear, hopefully she shares the interview, as well.

Note the blurriness, that’s what a Sexy Care Bear will do to you.

Also today, La Roja received the Ponce de Leon Award , ‘for representing the values of the Hispanic legacy in Florida and in the United States.’ VdB, Toni Grande, & Iker were on hand to accept the award from the Spain Florida Foundation.

Lastly, before training, the littles were out enjoying Miami and Santi Cazorla shared this shot with fellow itty bitty, David Silva.

I’ll try to have training pics posted later tonight, but I have some fan-girling of my own to do at a Pitbull concert (!!!!!!!!!!!happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!). If not tonight, then they’ll be posted before the match tomorrow. 🙂 Happy Friday y’all.

I have NEVER wanted to be in Miami so bad! Grr I hate the Heat (Celtics fan), but WOW La Roja there, I would’ve died! Hahaha Sergio never ceases to amaze me!

hummels was in miami last night too. that’s a lot of pretty for the american airlines arena.

what killed me about iker’s facebook pic was chori. he was trying to look interested in the game but bless, he looked so bored. he could not have cared less about the game. i love him for it.

i was also super impressed by how much pique knows about basketball on twitter. he was throwing down some real analysis and predictions about the series. plus, he likes the spurs and since i’m form texas, i give him thumbs up for having good taste.

Poor Chori. I know the pain of being dragged to a basketball game when you find basketbal dull as dishwater.

Oh Sergio. Sometimes foreign cities are hard. I volunteer to show him around, so that he picks up on American geography while improving his English.

And wow, Nando wasn’t even sitting with Juan, or Sergio with Jesus – the only acceptable excuse for the lack of Sernando!

There’s a very interesting hotpsot that Sergio must not miss while he’s here…… coincidentally, I live there…. 🙂 Sorry for any of you who planned to attend the practice at Sun Life stadium – what a washout! This weather is unbelievably bad…….hope it will improve for the game tomorrow…..

Seriously, Life? I’ve holidayed in Florida almost every year for the past fifteen years. Then this year I decide to stay put, even turning down my aunt who lives in Hialeah’s offer to house-sit for her while she’s away on a three week cruise, and La Roja and die Mannschaft are all, “LOL MIAMI TIME WOOT YOLO MOFOS!” and I’m here doing crossword puzzles in my backyard with my feet in the kiddie pool.
