The Muslim Premier League on BBC

7 Jul

Yesterday, a new footy doc about Muslim players in the PL began airing on BBC One. I don’t even remember how I heard about this program, but I’m very happy that I did. It’s exciting and very nice to see the PL’s 40 Muslim players featured and to see how they balance their athleticism with aspects of their Islamic faith, such as fasting for Ramadan….which is just around the corner. Brace yourselves, Muslim Watishistas! I’ve just started the series, so I’m going to get back to that, but I’m posting the link to the video after the jump, for anyone who wants to watch.

Ramadan Kareem Benzema to all our Muslim Watishistas! May you have a blessed month & your fasts feel as short as possible. 🙂

In a world where nothing positive about Islam is spoken about, we could all use these kind of programs. Thank you.

    Ramadhan Mubarak.
