Pre-Season Portraits: El Pirata

8 Jul

pirataThanks to watishista Bre for finding this shot of El Pirata by his QPR teammate (currently on loan to Palermo) Alejandro Faurlin. Looking through Ale’s pix, it seems like he’s a guitar player as well. The Hoops have started their pre-season and Esteban is currently with ’em. I wonder what the transfer window will hold for our lovely pirate? In addition to the guitar and mandals, I’m enjoying the box of All-Bran on the dresser. Total hippie, our ElP but hey, at least he’s getting his fiber, right? He’s got other,  more important, things to think about (LIKE COMING HOME). Ahem. As you were.

I love your descriptions of various photos. This one is really good! Is he playing in Scotland for the Celts?

No, he currently plays for QPR (Queens Park Rangers) who were relegated from the English Premier League to the Championship League at the end of the season. He’s going to leave the club but where he’s going to go is not yet known. That said, he’s reported for pre-season training. Same thing will happen with Pipita if his situation isn’t sorted out by next week. He’ll have to start training with the team.

Heck, Pirata made it through the Spanish Super Cup and left on the last possible day of the transfer window last summer.

Looks like that’s a go. Supposedly signing for Napoli tomorrow. I never like to announce moves until they are official though. 😦

So many hip comments, never enough time. I hope he’s learning an unreleased joy division song.
