It’s Official: Pipita (and Pepe Reina) To Napoli

24 Jul

Dear Napoli –

You do realize that the transfer season isn’t one of those “Collect the whole set!!” offers as far as Los Blancos are concerned, right?

Well, kids, there you have it. Napoli chairman Aurelio DeLaurentis confirmed it. Translation: “Higuain and Reina have passed a medical and soon will join the group”

Man, I hate the transfer window. HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT. Hey Partenopei, you better treat that booty right (along with Calleti’s and Albiol’s).  Silver lining (sad one, but still): Albiolita stay together.

i want pictures of pepe reina getting his medical. for, um, science and complete transparency. not because i want to see him with his shirt off. i’m actually starting to be really curious and intrigued by this team rafa is putting together. yet another league to watch this year. OH DARN 🙂

Ha ha I hate this year transfers (almost all are either sad or shocking for me) , but one of my first thoughts after seeing the news about Reina going to napoli was “mmm, so we will see pictures of him getting his medical!” and of course, that’s for science 😀

well, time for me to curl up in a little ball and cry… SOB… JUST TAKE SUAREZ ALREADY!!!! PLEASE!

    • headbandsandheartbreak July 24, 2013 at 4:01 pm #

I don’t want him at Napoli! He might take a bite out of Pipa’s ass (not that I wouldn’t but…) and we can’t risk it. He can go somewhere else but not Napoli or Real Madrid. I don’t want to see him hanging around any of our boys.

I just want him out of LFC (does that make me a horrible fan?). I was hoping he’d leave. Never thought Pepe’d go to Napoli. 😦

No. I also want Suarez out of Liverpool. He’s a disgrace. As long as a move out doesn’t bring him to Madrid.

Frankly, he along with a few other choice players who can’t control themselves should be in their own league, where they can bite and karate kick and shoot air guns at each other to their heart’s content.

Yeah just imagine a team with Suarez, Nigel de Jong, Joey Barton, Materazzi ( I know he´s retired but he immediatly came to mind), Balotelli ( I love him don´t get me wrong) and so on. A dream come true for every manager heheh.

              Don’t forget Ibrahimovic. 😉

        • SR 4 July 24, 2013 at 4:45 pm #

It doesn´t make you a terrible fan in my eyes. I absolutely don´t want him to come to Madrid so I totally get you… I hope we don´t buy a new striker and give Morata and Jesé ( He got a new contract! Yay!) a shot. I´m sad to see all of them leave but it´s quite comforting that they´ll be together.
I´m shocked that Pepe left and it´s also just on loan which is weird. I guess he´s biding his time til next summer to get Valdes spot…

Dear dear Pipita. I’ve been mentally ready for this for months now, so I just hope everything goes well for him at Napoli and that’s he’s happy there. At least our boys get to keep each other company. Pepe Reina kind of hurts more, because I wasn’t expecting it. Why would you do this to Liverpool Pepe, why???

This better not mean a Suarez move to Madrid. It. Better. Not.

    ¡No! Pipita, ¿porque? 😦

  5. Natalie July 24, 2013 at 6:13 pm #

We knew this was coming but it hurts!! I will miss his bum bum!!!

It’s 12.30 am here, I just got in from a long road trip and I’m not firing on all cylinders, when I read comments about Pepe I thought they meant MY Pepe and immediately got in a snit. NO Napoli, you can’t have my fearsome and committed defender too! Then I realised we were talking about Pepe Reina. Ok, you can have him. And I haven’t checked the UK papers yet but as of yesterday I heard Arsenal were tabling a £40m bid for Suarez. May just have dodged that bullet then. Put the money in the bank until next year RM and then go for Gareth Bale!

Pipita + Pepe Reina = Crazy Fun Times

Can you just imagine what their practices and concentracions will be like? I’ll miss you Pipa, but it’s good to know that you’re heading somewhere where you’re already loved. And he’s going to have sooooo much fun. If another “hola bonita” thing DOESN’T happen, I would be let down tbh.

    • Allison July 24, 2013 at 11:27 pm #

Rose, you have made me feel better with this scenario. Pipa & Pepe (Pepi?) are both nuts so good times will be had.

      • jellyace July 25, 2013 at 1:22 pm #

Ummmmm….would that be: Pipipepe? Pepita? Higuareina?

        Whatever…both have ample bum bums!

    • Ola July 25, 2013 at 4:48 am #

I like Pipa & Pepe scenario too! 🙂 excuse my ignorance, but what it’s with the “hola bonita” thing?

      • Ola July 25, 2013 at 8:26 am #

        Nevermind, I already found it:)

If you are talking to people from Napoli you have to say “uè cumpà” instead of Hey partenopei

    • headbandsandheartbreak July 31, 2013 at 6:15 pm #

Fair enough, but “Partenopei” is one of Napoli’s (the team) nicknames much like we call Real Madrid “Los Blancos” or “Merengues” or one might call AC Milan “Rossoneri” I was referring to the team, but I would also appreciate if the people of Napoli treated Pipita well! 🙂

Yes, transfer season is the most stressful (and oftentimes depressing) time of the year. And it hits us twice. While I am in love with all of our (Madrid’s) fichajes so far (which is actually probably a first…), I’m super sad with who has been leaving. Of course the ones I want to go get to stay.

However, it looks I have a favorite Italian team (sorry, Llorente!). I never cared about the Italian league before but now I just might have to tune into as many Napoli games as I can.
