G-Money Returns, A Shakeup And More

19 Nov

622-472-_HES4987Thumb,8With Gareth back and training, the RM photogs focused on him and not our smiling Casemiro.

But that’s okay, Casanova just hung out with Gareth and then flashed some smooth training legs to get himself back in the pictures.

I’ve been out of the loop most of the day so I was surprised to get home about an hour ago to see the official announcement that Alberto Toril is no longer the coach of Castilla. From RealMadrid.com:

Real Madrid Football Club wish to inform that Alberto Toril is no longer the coach of Real Madrid Castilla.

The club has offered Alberto Toril the option of continuing to work for the club in his role as Director of Training at the Real Madrid Academy.

José Manuel Díaz, who until now has coached Real Madrid C, will take over as coach of Real Madrid Castilla.

I have no idea what happened so if anyone has the details, please spill in the comments! A couple of quick leftovers. Here’s a report from RM about Carlo’s new book:

And last week RM posted this little video to encourage people to subscribe to their YouTube channel.
Of course they just HAD to use “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” as the soundtrack. I regularly get this song stuck in my head and it takes forever to get out. Thanks for reactivating my earworm, Real Madrid. ::bellows “I LOVE YOU, BABY!!!!!!!!! AND IF IT’S QUITE ALRIGHT, I NEED YOU BAAAAAAAAAABY TO WARM A LONELY NIGHT!“:: Argh. Here we go again.

I’m not going to lie, and I know it’s not really popular opinion, but I freaking adore G-Money

wearing those little teddy bear (?) ears with the welsh team for that charity really melted my heart. between that and the complete unabashed, naked love for cris, he’s winning me over.

Gareth and his teddy bear ears are super fun!

About Toril: Castilla got crushed in their last match, and he got sacked shortly thereafter. It hasn’t been a winning season, so I’m guessing that loss was the last straw.

i’m not sure it’s totally fair to blame toril for castilla’s garbage season. they lost a LOT of their top players to loans and the first team. but they’re the higher ups, not me. (i have faith that casado and mejias can help rally the troops, though)

Do you know if mejias has played any castilla games this season? Because I think Pacheco and yanez were playing in goal all season. And that would really suck since it pretty much means castilla “lost” another great player =/

oh y’know, i’ve looked back and i guess he hasn’t played. he’s been training so much with the first team, but who in the world needs 4 keepers? i just figured jesus was the 3rd and mejias has been playing with castilla but that’s not the case. eeeeenteresting. i wonder what their plan for mejias is.

Oh yeah, it’s definitely a raw deal for him. I didn’t mean to imply that the blame should fall on him- just assuming that’s where the powers that be dropped it.
