I’ll Have the Four Goal Special, with a Hat Trick & Clean Sheet, Please

It’s a good thing these two’s minds and feet link up better than there hands do! G-Money shined against Valladolid, scoring his first hat trick for RM. It was a good performance from the team, we managed four goals & a what?.. CLEAN SHEET!

In the beginning I wasn’t liking Pepe with hair, but I stumbled upon an old pic of his shaved head & that looked weird to me. Me gusta el fro. I read somewhere that he decided to grow his hair out because his daughter likes to play with his hair. That made me love it even more. All together now, awwwwwwww!

Cris wasn’t on the pitch for this match either, but he was in da haus.

“They say with this Madrid baby boom, there must be something in the water.”

“Are you drinking the water??”

In honor of Fabio Coentrao’s father, the team wore black armbands and observed a minute of silence before the match. RIP Bernadino da Cruz Coentrao.

On a happier note, Magnus Carlsen, World Chess Champion, took the honorary kick off for the match. It was his 23rd birthday and to celebrate, Flo P. gave him a personalized shirt & watch. That’s a pretty kick ass way to celebrate, if you ask me.

In the 33rd minute, Bale got down to it and scored his first goal of the night, a header! Unfortunately for Valladolid, the assist went to their keeper, Marino.

Three minutes later we had another header goal, this time coming off of Benz’s striped head. G-Money assisted this one, which led to a moment between him & our Frenchie.

“Croissant is mine.”

G-Money had two left in him, in the 2nd half. He scored his 2nd goal in the 64th minute.

A minute to go & G-Money did it! He got his hat trick in the 89th minute and made the damn thing look easy, hopping right over Marino.

It was G-Money’s night and his first hat trick, so he took home the game ball.

Not only was he entertaining on the pitch, his post match interview was good as well. Honestly, since G-Money was signed, I’ve found it hard to find him likeable, harder than it was with the other signings. But this moment kind of did it for me, his awkwardness and shyness at not being ready to get his espanol on is adorable and I can totally relate to the embarrassing situation. For me, he’ll completely be one of the boys, when I get to see him awkwardly grooving in the locker room after we win La Liga/CdR/Champions League (or all!) this season. 😉

I missed the start of the match so I totally missed the banner that translates to “We are one with you, Philippines!” Muchas gracias, Real Madrid! https://headbandsandheartbreak.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/ill-have-the-four-goal-special-with-a-hat-trick-clean-sheet-please/3-429/

I was a bit worried as to how the boys would fare without Cristiano, but was impressed by G-Money’s Perfect Hat Trick (header, right foot, left foot). Even Benzema’s pose as he headed in his goal was a thing of beauty! Wheeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
