“Um, that’s not what I look like, right? Definitely needs more hair gel to start.”

Cristiano’s museum will open to the public in his hometown of Funchal on December 17th but today there was a little preview event for some lucky folks with the man himself in attendance.

"No, seriously, does anyone think this looks like me?"

Located in a street called Princesa Dona Amelia in his home town, the museum will open on the 17th of December and shows photographs and objects that portray the most important moments in the career of the Real Madrid forward

The CR7 Museum is the perfect place to learn all about the most important moments in the career of the Portuguese forward from the man himself. Located in Princesa Dona Amelia Street in his home town, Funchal, it opens on the 17th of December and shows photographs and objects that portray the most important moments in the career of the Real Madrid forward. Thanks to the variety of material personally donated by the Portuguese footballer, this exhibition presents all of the individual and collective honours that he has achieved. It is a tribute to nearly 29 years of life and success and the best way to understand the football career of the Real Madrid player.

There are more than fifty objects in the exhibition, including representations of some of the honours he has achieved on a club level, individual trophies such as the Ballon d’Or, the FIFA World Player award which he won in 2008, the European Golden Shoe from the 2007/08 season and a huge amount of family and personal photos donated by the Portuguese star.

However, what will surely grab the attention of Real Madrid fans is the European Golden Shoe from the 2010/11 season and the section which includes all of the balls signed by his teammates in those games in which he has scored a hat-trick or more during his career. Of the 26 balls displayed here, 23 of them are from games he has played for the Whites. The CR7 Museum shows us the career of a player who has triumphed wherever he has played, and the exhibition will be open to the public in Princesa Dona Amelia Street in Funchal from the 17th of December.

Joining Cristiano were his family, Irina, Pepe, Emilio Butragueno, Miguel Pardeza, Jorge Mendes & Paulo Bento. The big news is that Cristiano has seemed to have lifted his embargo on pictures of Cris Jr. which is awesome! Jr’s picture is all over the museum and, interestingly, so is Irina’s. Seems like things are pretty serious! Jr. is as cheeky and charming as his papa.

Cristiano Ronaldo: “I’ll always have a place for the Décima and hopefully it’s this year”
by Alberto Navarro (Madeira)

“I’m excited and thrilled. This museum is a source of pride”, said the Real Madrid striker after the inauguration of his museum in Funchal

A visibly moved Cristiano Ronaldo gave an exclusive interview to Realmadrid.com and Realmadrid TV after visiting his museum. Real Madrid’s number seven was unable to hide his feelings about the exhibition that bears his name in his city of birth. “It’s really wonderful and a source of pride and excitement. I’m happy, excited and thrilled. I hope to win many more titles and trophies. I’ll always have a place for the Décima. Hopefully it’s this year”.

You seem excited. What does this museum mean to you?
It’s a chance for everyone who likes Cristiano Ronaldo to get to know me better: my fans and the people of Madeira where I grew up and where I spent my childhood. It’s really wonderful and a source of pride and excitement. I hope to win many more titles and trophies. I’m happy, excited and thrilled”.

And I suppose you’ll save a place for the Décima.
I’ll always have a place for the Décima. Hopefully it’s this year. We’re really looking forward to being able to win it.

Well, looks like we have a new vacation destination to check out, eh? I’m just excited that we can show pictures of Cris Jr. now – he’s such a mini me of his papi. (Additional pictures via GF Sports)

One more reason to visit Portugal! There’s a pic of Cris Jr. giving the thumbs up — NOOOOOoooooo, you’re way too young to be picking up that habit!

I can’t wait to visit this museum! I was meaning to attend the event yeaterday, but, unfortunately, I couldn’t. I did, however, see Pepe at a night club the night before, but it was impossible to approach him :c

It wasn’t open yet. As it says in the post, it’s not officially opening to the public until December 17th, which is tomorrow.

Baby cris is so unreal. I can’t believe how big and cute he is. And his tiny interview? Dying. In my head, Enzo and baby cris are the tiniest best friends ever.
