The Real Madrid defender also spoke about the home advantage and gave his view of the other team’s qualities: “We have the advantage of playing the second leg at home and that helps, but German teams defend very well and are organized. Schalke 04 are a dangerous team on the break and have some important players. We’re looking forward to the game because it’s a competition that we really love. Like all Real Madrid fans, we’re hoping to go as far as possible in the competition and we’ll take this game seriously and respect our opponents”.

Students from the Real Madrid Foundation’s sports academy in Funchal, the MAIS Salesianos Funchal Sports School, which is run in collaboration with Misiones Salesianas, fulfilled their dream of meeting their city’s idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. It was during the inauguration of the CR7 Museum in Madeira. The Real Madrid forward was very affectionate and attentive towards the children. 163-818-DSC_1446Thumb,8Besides having the opportunity to be among the first to visit the CR7 Museum that the Real Madrid player had just opened, they met Pepe, who also travelled to Funchal to accompany his teammate. They had the opportunity to chat with and have photographs taken with him. 771-250-DSC_1431,9This Real Madrid Foundation sports school has been running for three years and works with disadvantaged children on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The meeting with their idol will be an important moment in the lives of these youngsters because it is an experience that they will never forget and will provide an impetus for them to fight for a better future.

Pepe seemed to enjoy his trip back to Portugal as he posted a couple of shots on Twitter.

Cris’s mannequin is looking better now. In the first shots we saw, it was decidedly emo-ish. I can imagine Cris shouting, “More hair gel!” 😀
