How did some of our faves ring in the New Year? Well, Marcelo started by posting this, but had to share quite a few more pictures. Turns out that it’s Caio’s birthday as well so the whole family was celebrating (Enzo must be asleep). And guess what, they added a new family member – a tiny puppy for Caio.
Sara is heavily pregnant, as you can see. Iker can barely wait for his baby so he’s hanging on to his friend’s kid for dear life. Mateo has been his surrogate baby for ages. He also posted a picture of the 12 grapes that are traditionally eaten at midnight in Spain. Excited to reach a million Instagram followers, he drew us a little picture.
The Albiol-Roig clan kept the grape tradition but substituted M&Ms. Yum. 
Carlota, Alvaro, Alba & baby Raul posed for a family picture. It was just a year ago today that we first found out that he was on his way. I love his little old man face (and, of course, Albita’s).
Cristiano & Irina celebrated with friends. Irina did change into something with a bit more coverage later.
The French contingent posted shots as well. Again, Varane went classic and Karim, well, he went…Karim. SMH. I can’t even with him.

Not only does Sergio Ramos own a shirt with dinosaurs on it, he thinks this is the PERFECT occasion to wear it. I’m starting to think that Pilar has an entire closet full of animal print goodies. Oy vey. Never change you two and please dress your baby as you would dress yourselves. I’m counting on that. (I’m imagining that if Xabi saw this picture on Twitter, he’s probably rocking back and forth and weeping in a corner).
And there you have it! There’s much more, but now, I really need to make a few phone calls to the family, etc. as we get ever nearer to 2014 in my neck of the woods.
