Is it safe to say the translation for ad is something like “I am a man….ze only real man. Zlatan.”

Loved it! Well, for me it’s really hard not to love everything that includes Zlatan someway haha 😀

Btw, for those who are wondering about what he says, the words he spokes are from Swedish national anthem. There is probably English translation somewhere in the internet.

Yep, as anonymous stated above, the text that Zlatan reads is the Swedish national anthem. The translation would be something like this:

“Thou ancient, thou free and mountainous North
      Thou quiet, thou joyful beauty.
I greet thee, most beautiful land upon earth,
Thy sun, thy sky and meadows green
Thou rest upon memories of great olden days,
When honored thy name flew across the world,
I know that thou are and will be as thou were,
Yes, I want to live and I want to die in SWEDEN
Yes, I want to live and I want to die in SWEDEN”

In the original text, the last to strophes are “Yes, I want to live and I want to die in the North”, but to make it more suitable to the context here I guess, they (I like to think it was Zlatans own choice 😉 ) have changed it to “Sweden” instead.

(Not that I think that anyone here is really interested, but I´ll wright this anyway…The reason to why the Swedish national anthem doesn´t end with “die in Sweden” – when not being read by Zlatan, of course… – is because of a rhyme. “…flew across the world” is “flög över jorden” in Swedish and to make that rhyme with the last strophe, the anthem ends with “dö i norden”. Which in English is “die in the North” or even “die in the Nordic Countries”. Every once in a while it´s actually debated in Sweden why the national anthem has such a vague ending, and not a more nationalistic one. I like to think that Zlatan just made his own choice here… Just like Zlatan normally does 😀 )

What a pretty anthem! I loved the explanation too, that was very interesting. Thanks for that 🙂

This is so fantastic – thank you for the translation and explanation – it definitely adds to the video for me now. 🙂
