Cena Pirata

26 Jan

Bewwoh4IIAAZ-b6Pirata had his thank you dinner for competition winners last night in San Sebastian. He and some of the attendees tweeted pictures.

Getting ready for the party a few days before

I could not concentrate with that picture above my head.

I could not concentrate with that picture above my head (and El P in the flesh!)

Pirata and the chefs

Here’s video of the event. I have to say, it does my heart good to see how wonderful and healthy he looks and how much people appreciate him in San Sebastian.  He seems really, really happy.

And just because I miss his fine hipster ass so much, here’s an artsy shot he posted last week saying (basically) “They’re behind the ball”  I see what you did there, Pirata.

BeiC_WZIEAAnFjnHe’s probably going to post one in March of me and mygypsyspirit thundering down La Concha in pursuit of him with the caption “Dia 195OH GOD, CALL SECURITY!” Come back, Pirata! We promise we’ll be gentle! (But not too gentle).

Today in class there was a guy that looked exactly like Granero sitting in the back! He was even wearing a white polo similar to something I’m pretty sure Granero has worn. It was so hard not to stare. hahaha.
