Here’s a sneak peak at Marca’s cover celebrating 10 years of Sergio Ramos. Is it only a decade since our pony burst onto the scene?
The team had the day off but a few people turned up to training anyhow: Bale, Arbeloa, DLo and Nacho. Turns out that we’re going to face Atleti in the semi-finals of the Copa Del Rey. First leg is next week. Argh. Before that, we to get through have Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
El Pirata added his charming mug to help promote the StopSanFilippo.org which benefits research and provides assistance for those affected with San Filippo Syndrome.
He also gleefully posed with his copy of the newly released album, Pólvora by his good friend Leiva. I can attest, the album is FANTASTIC. I got it today as well.
I kinda love that both El Pirata and I are fangirling over the same album. I love his mischievous little face in this picture. Leiva tweeted him something back about remembering how he brought the model to London with him and I think I don’t want to know the rest. Anyhow, this is one bromance I really love.
And a crafty reporter tried to get Irina to say “Visca Barca” while she was there for a Desigual event, but she’s no dummy. She’s like ” Uh, NO.” She did end up saying that she loved the city.
I love how they just assumed that she wouldn’t know what that meant and they’d get her to embarrass herself/Cristiano. Lame. Anyhow, Irina don’t play that shit.

I think the new Leiva left you a little veclempt(sp?)… “we to get through have Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.”
I don’t blame you. If it hadn’t been for having to go to work, I would have been listening to it all night. Are you sure it’s Pirata we’re going to be chasing down? Or am I going to lose you to Leiva? Not that I’d mind. I can keep myself occupied 😉
Irina’s no dummy.. I don’t know why people assume she is.
🙂 Verklempt. On this trip, you’re going to tutor me in Spanish and I’m going to expand your Yiddish vocab. You will not lose me to Leiva. I need a man with a bit more meat on his bones so I don’t break him. Pirata would do nicely. 🙂
I have a surprising Yiddish vocabulary. I just don’t know how to spell any of it!
I’ve been hoping that Mikel Alonso is hanging around San Sebastian….
i love his crinkly smiling eyes! what a cutie. are y’all counting down to your trip to espana?
I’m in the middle of counting down until I move, so counting down for the trip is put on hold. I have 42 days until my last day at my current job. Meaning I leave for Spain in… 47 days and the Clasico is in 52 days 😉
Yay! I can math!
Lots of changes and things to be excited about. Hope all goes well!
Oh gosh! You’ll be there for the clasico! Breathe…breathe! And clang away for me!
Was I the only one that found the cover of Marca a little creepy? They could have picked a better picture and then I would have requested my Spanish friends to save me a copy.
My cule cousin from Barcelona visited me a few weeks ago and it pained him tremendously to buy and give some Real Madrid gifts plus one little Barca candle to remind me of him! He told me why they are called “cules.” In the old stadium before Camp Nou, the fans used to watch matches while sitting on the fence with their butts (culos) hanging over the fence. So they were dubbed “Cules.” So does that mean they are asses? 😉
I thought everyone knew why they were called cules? Anyhow they named themselves that, so I think they’re embracing it. 🙂
I didn’t, and I never bothered looking it up.
::shrugs:: Fair enough. At least they know what they are. 😉 (Oh c’mon, they left the door wide open for that one!)
